Character deleted

Hi,

I have deleted one character by accident. I was a bit distracted.
I meant to delete a new character and not one of my main characters.

I made a ticket and put all the necessary info with the help from this thread
http://sto-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=218117. Also according to this thread it should be possible to restore a character.

Now I have received a response from a GM: "There is no way to restore the character."

Maybe there is another GM who have done this before that can help me?

Character name: Saborga@davinnio
Date: March 29, 2013
Time: 17:45 (GMT+1)
Level character: Vice Admiral

I don't have any other character with the name Saborga@davinnio and I have enough character slots available.

If not possible to restore this character, then so be it, my own dumb mistake.
But if there is any chance, I would be very grateful.

    Every time I go online I hope to see my sweet Saborga, I am so sad :(

    But I still have faith in Cryptic that this character will be restored! :)

    Should have said that your account was TRIBBLE or something. Dont they keep backup data on all the toons that they can rollback too if your account gets TRIBBLE?

    Maybe try sending in another ticket? I've found that GMs (in general) can be touchy. One will tell you there's no way to do something and the next will be like "Sure no problem." I've had that happen in the past personally although not with Cryptic. I would say keep sending in tickets. I mean if Funcom of all companies can restore my deleted characters Cryptic should be able to. If not then uh...they need to take another look at what they're doing lol.

    Thanks for replying and giving ideas.

    If they could do a rollback I would definitely not mind that.
    I can send one more ticket, but I don't think the GM that replied the first time will appreciate it if he see a new ticket about the same matter from me again, lol. Let's hope another GM will get the ticket then. Ticket send :D

    You may be barking up the wrong tree here... I don't believe the GMs have the ability to do an account rollback, as this is something that would require Administration intervention. You'd be better off contacting Billing/Subscription Support with 'TRIBBLE' in the title line.

    Two points.

    1. The post you linked to states "I'll repeat that this DOES NOT GUARANTEE that support will be able to recover your character, but they will need this aboved information before they can act upon your request."

    2. The post is from back in the days of subscription only, before F2P. The process may required more time/effort that it's worth them doing for someone who's not a LTS.

    Yes true, it does not guarantee. Maybe it is not even possible anymore to restore, it has been 4 days now. But I will keep singing songs for Saborga so she will not be forgotten :D

    Well, I am a LTS. I have been playing since Beta almost non stop, helped many players and bring many players to the game.

    One of my main characters playtime:
    [6:34] [System] Superborg has been on active duty for 118 days, 1 hour, 30 seconds.

    I have tried everything so far, ticket system and making thread on forum. Also I have been sending PMs to Cryptic Studios Team and Community Manager. They cannot help me because this matter belongs to the GM department.

    So I have mixed feelings:
    1: I feel stupid for making such dumb mistake
    2. Being a loyal STO player and feeling a bit depressed by GM's that they don't try harder
    3: Feeling happy that you all try to help me :)

    I have send an e-mail to that Billing/Subscription Support one week ago, but still did not get any reply.

    I have asked today the GM what they would have done if my account was TRIBBLE and characters was deleted by the hacker. I will post his response so other players know for now and in the future what they can expect (because this is the first game for me that a account rollback is not possible and I was not aware of this after playing this game for 3 years):

    Account security is the responsibility of the account owner.
    If an account is TRIBBLE we will help the original owner obtain the account.
    If a character can still be restored we would simply restore the character.
    The problem is sometimes characters can no longer be restored and an account rollback would not help in that issue. This is why we make customers verify character deletions by verifying the the character name before deleting the character.

    the character data is deleted when you delete a character. they can't restore it

    don't try harder? its not their job, nor is it within their abilities to correct your mistake. a mistake that wouldn't have happened if you had been paying attention. so don't take it out on them

    if this is the case how exactly did you delete the character by 'not paying attention' in the first place?

    and don't post gibberish about it, the mods will end up warning you for spam or trollling. double posts with no purpose are a no no
