Cryptic, I think you're releasing the JHAS a little too often. Every six months? Make it at least every year. Now when I go in to PvP I'm coming across matches where more than half the ships are JHAS. I even came across one PUG that comprised of 5 JHAS!!
We all know that STO is turning in to Escorts online, but saturating the game with JHAS is ridiculous. Also, it's been taking the prestige and rarity of the ship away.
I know you're not going to take the JHAS out of the DOff packs now. Next time, however, be innovative. When you feel that the C-Store DOff packs aren't selling as much as you'd like make a new and improved prize. That way I won't see between 10-15 JHAS every time I'm at ESD. ESD is slowly turning in to Dominion Space Dock. That's not right.
So essentially, I have mine and to blazes with everyone else?
As far as I know, the average amount of cash you have to drop on one of these ships is roughly the same as it was from the beginning, $100-200 US so it is not even like you can complain that they dropped the price on the ship, which I am sure you would if you could.
Shush, I want one myself, so, I dont care if they rain down like beads in Mardi Gras, there's so many non-standard ships flying around at this point WGAF?
You always see them drop super heavy the first day or two they are offered and then they die down like everything else. Besides it really isn't much different than a fleet defiant with a cloak or a Kumari. With all the new consoles with sci mods in the embassy I don't know I would want 1 sci console slot. Since the fleet ships came out I think the JHAS is overrated.

Does it matter? Eventually some will get tired of it, and move to another ship. During the Winter event you saw the Breen ships everywhere. Same with the Ambassador. Give it time and the numbers will drop. This happens on every game on stuff like this.
For me, I want the HEC or Dread. I want the Dread the most on my KDF.

For Escorts yes, however it matters on what you will do with it. I'm more of a Cruiser guy, so to me bigger ship is my style. Since I PVE only. And just started doing a Tac in an Escort. I have already see a difference. As they don't hold up compared to a cruiser.
Single best ship in the game. Not really, only depending on what you going to do.

It always makes me laugh, they make more then enough money so this is just going to Dan Stahl's personal christmas bonus. The JHAS needs to go, its always been an abomination and was the first ship to really "test the water" at releasing non-faction lockbox ships.
Now that you guys let them get away with it, they have saturated the market and essentially ruined the game's credibility. Not that it had any post-F2P anyway.

How you know where the money is going to his Christmas bonus? Got proof for this statement? No proof, then your statement is worthless.
The game is a Star Trek game future fun kind of game. I like how you can fly other ships other than Fed. Which would happen if you went by the shows. Since they rarely did the KDF or Romulan view of it. What about the weapons. Why allow other types other than what is supposed to be on ships. Going your view, all Feds should only have phasers and photon or quantum torpedoes. Including the ground action. Only phasers since that is all Fed used there too. This game allows you to pick and choose with a freedom so you can enjoy the game.
My self I love the Fed, however love playing KDF as well. Then there is always a ship I like to play as well that neither has. Like the Jems or Cards. For RP it is great since you can create a story how you got that different ship, etc. The sky is the limit on a game like this for RP or anyone to enjoy.

This makes the JHAS vastly superior to any other escort in the game. Fleet Defiant and Kumari may have the same firepower (or even more in case of kumari), but the difference in speed is just ridiculus. Everyone who faced a Bug in PvP will agree to that.

NO to ARC RIP KDF and PvP 2014-07-17 Season 9.5 - Death by Dev
I love watching JAS's hitting my Odyssey and Imperial. I just sit there and laugh as they attempt to get through my shields. And in the event they somehow do, there is nothing as entertaining as the profanity that follows a perfectly timed MW3 and TT1.
It is said the best weapon is one that is never fired. I disagree. The best weapon is one you only have to fire... once.
It does destroy immersion a little bit when half of the pugs are using JHAS. But since that was destroyed along time ago, there is no sense in QQing about it now. For example, if rommies used plasma torps that were as weak sauce as the ones in game (they were weak before all shields had 20% plasma resistances) they wouldn't have been dangerous to the Federation in any of the shows.
Personally, I won't fly anything that isn't klingon'ish. I can get around the klingon race being a minority on Qo'nos , being forced to use letheans for the entire crew of a Klingon vessel  , or the complete lack of any Klingon specific content in the later game (its ok we can chase bunnies all day, but they're not for eating  ). But Klingon ships are too damn cool to play anything else.
Anyways, if I lose to a JHAS I don't feel any shame in the loss. But I do take pride in beating one. However, now with so many out there, the chances are pretty good that the next time I win, it was because the other pilot was bad. So the only effect I feel is to cheapen my next victory over a P2W bug.
So far I'm bad luck on getting one (spend around 100$) luck of the draw I guess. so I'm hoping prices will drop so I can buy one instead (I already have the carrier)
regardless of the pvp implications, this helps to address an issue with the jem'hadar dreadnought, carrier pets and federations lack of a decent and easily manageable high damage carrier pet.
the jhas carrier pets still don't hold a candle to the abop's and honestly neither do elite scorpions from my parsing in controlled environments. abop quantum torpedos do the same damage as a regular player, there are four of them and they get high yield 2 which just blows away the beam overload of the jhas. the fact my vo'quv has plasmonic leech, aceton assimilator, tykens rift, energy siphon and polarized disruptors makes tac cubes shields pretty much a non-issue again gives the abop's a huge damage advantage over any of teh pets that do not have high yield 2.
To be honest I gave up on wanting to own a JHAS for my tactical a long time ago. I would love to have the JHAS pets for my dreadnought and quite frankly I think it's, well words can't communicate how screwed over I feel by Cryptic over this. I get they wanted to exploit the JHAS for more money but they could at least have made it more subtle.
If there was a way to get the pets without the $#!+? having to own a JHAS I would be happy, but I think restricting a pet from players unless they own one of the rarest ships which is only useable on a lobi store ship is not going to win you many friends in the long run. Course having said that I have a feeling this game might be put on the back burner when neverwinter is released anyway. So maybe they don't care how many people they ?#%$ off.

It is through repetition that we learn our weakness.
