    time travel maybe?

More like the Mirror Universe of the Alternate Universe from the TNG episode "Yesterday's Enterprise" where Tasha Yar wasn't killed while escaping with her infant Romulan daughter Sela.

Hang on, there's white board in this room. Gonna grab some EXPO markers and make a flow chart...

You may be right, you may be wrong, personally I don't much care for the Klinks even though I have an LG with a B'rel I hardly ever play him. No, a Romulan faction, to me that's worth playing and advancing in, not everyone likes the KDF, not everyone likes the Feds or Romulans, but I am betting a lot of Fed players out there who don't care for the Klinks will go for a Romulan. Speculation is great isn't it?

    I'm with you...

I've got a Klink I fiddle with occasionally, but I'm not a true warrior at heart.

Now on the other hand... I could really get into espionage and the like of the Romulans.

Now in the infopic they also had on the site it says that Denise Crosby played Tasha Yar AND Sela so it might have both or she voiced over new content.

She introduced herself anyway, so no need to speculate. But since it's all some temporal Q mumbo-jumbo, the episode could be about anything... :P

it will most likely take you back to the period after sela is born and just before tasha (from the alternate reality) is killed trying to escape.

I doubt its a Romulan faction, no matter how well you "tease" it, cause thats gonna TRIBBLE off alotta KDF players

I'm thinking its a Romulan Featured Episode Arc with Sela and the goings on of Raptor 3

You are betting on the factor that after 3 years only now they would be scared of pissing off the kdf EMO( Alot of tears come from a "proud" faction, wonder if they had to much sensitivity training) party of STO? Cryptic already stated they get no return on investment out of the KDF. I would more see Cryptic rather risk pissing off a few die hard KDF players in trade for a new revenu stream. In any business if part is not profiting you restructure or eliminate that arm of the business. Releasing the romulan faction would shift a new stream into there profits and has the ability to bring in alot of revenue again from twitch buyers. I would rather TRIBBLE off a few players if its going to make me profit from the majority as well bring in new players who wanted the romulans. It's simple economics. The majority make your profit, not the minority. This has worked rather well as the KDF technology has been bastardized more and more to th fed faction in " cross-faction consoles". Perfect example is the Bio-Neural warhead that the game itself and history showed Starfleet would NEVER authorize it's use. Cryptic blatantly ignored this. Hell alone it violates the Sentients rights laws of the federation.

P.s. yes I am on the tablet so eff off about writing issues.

If you hover over the text in the may 2013 teaser page it says

    "Match Beneath the Raptor's Wings"

Now if you read the whole page, one would read it as

March 2013: "Match Beneath the Raptor's Wings"

Meaning, well march Beneath Them. I'm not sure what else it could mean.

Please fix the size of the nacelles! They are definitely out of scale with the rest of the ship. Does the Ambassador and the KDF ship have a unique bridge?

According to the guy who designed the ship (Doug Drexler), they are supposed to be bigger.

since Cryptic loves to p*** off KDF players, yay we gonna get full fleshed out Romulan Faction!!!

srsly the only question now is, full faction or that 10-20 level monster-play-faction that joins Fed/KDF that they were talking about before.

Sounds like Kestral wrote Tasha very wooden dialogue (typical STO) and Denise was giving a very wooden performance to match it. That line sounded awful.

I doubt it will get much because its free, but I'll be putting my T5 Ambassador on the exchange after the anniversary event because none of my captains even care to take her for a spin around the block.

Well, if you read the article - at bthe bottom, there's a STO Milstone Graphic listing all the Star Trek actors who've done voicework for STO - and it lists Denise Crosby as voicing BOTH Tasha Yar and Sela (It could be Sela is not in the anniversary mission; but they probably have something with the character in the May 2013 update - or both characters could be in the anniversary mission.)

And (assuming they stay on schedule, and everything works, you'll be able to find out in a little under 24 hours.)

Also, I have to say - kudos to the Cryptic/PWE marketing dept. on this one - the way you guys are doing coordinated teases and building up anticipation for all this is nice. (It's a far cry from how the Cryptic marketing folks used to handle this stuff) -- hope everything goes off glitch free (that would be a nice change of pace too ;))

it's definitely based around romulans. the text before the mouseover is romulan.

whether it's the introduction of a romulan faction or just a series of romulan based episodes, no one really knows yet. don't jump the gun saying that a romulan faction is coming.

#1 its MAY, it says so in the URL already...
    #2 ...trek knowledge fail bro

"The change was brought on by a Vulcan named Surak, who preached a philosophy of using logic to control emotions, as well as total pacifism. He was effective in spreading his teaching across Vulcan, though he encountered heavy resistance from many Vulcans, especially "those who marched beneath the raptor's wings", even starting a nuclear war. Although Surak died of radiation sickness at Mount Seleya shortly before the last battle against these factions, his writings were preserved in the Kir'Shara. "

tl'dr: "march beneath the raptor's wings" = Romulan Slogan

Glad Tasha is back, but I feel the video spoiled me.

    Needs a spoiler alert. :(

As for those stats on that page...........I'm calling shenanigans.

2 Million Players? Can easily bet that the majority of that number were Goldfarmer Advertisement Bots with another majority being Player Mule Accounts.

16,500 Fleets? I'm assuming that number counting the number of Fleets created since STO's launch.

I think he means the STO Ambassador's Nacelles are larger than the Ambassador Studio Model. And I have to agree, looks larger than it should be.

Will need to see a side view to compare it.

Considering the split of the Romulans/Remans - it may be continuing the ongoing story of what's going on with them...where players work to help the "good" R&Rs while fighting the "bad" R&Rs.

New adventure zone - new invasions...etc, etc, etc... leads me to believe it's more about Romulan - Tal Shiar - as an enemy faction rather than a player faction.

Even w/o it being Sela, whoever emerges to the leadership of the Romulan Empire, New Romulus is not going sit well with them. The Federation and Klingon's involvement with the new colony is all but an official recognition of New Romulus as a new seat of power.

Many people hope it's the Romulan faction but it's highly unlikely, the devs stated no 3rd faction before the KDF one is done, which is good. It's probably a featured episode involving Romulans. Like the 2800. :)
