Windows 8 character faces flickering black

I have been running Windows 8 Professional since Thursday with little to no problems (relatively speaking to a new OS launch). STO is running fine, just like it did on Windows 7. Only issue I'm running into is that faces on characters (and anywhere else skin shows) flick black and I was wondering if anyone else ran into this issue?

Windows 8 Profession x64
Intel i7 930
12GB RAM
eVGA x58 FTW3
eVGA GTX480

Game is running Maxed except low Bloom @70% and DX11 Beta 1080p@120hz.

Did you update your drivers? That (should) fix it.

try to set your options to DX9
the black faces popped up for the first time when DX11 came out, but i'm rather sure that was fixed pretty fast back then.

My bro and I are having the same issue, only difference is that were both playing with dual 580s in SLI were running multi-monitor and are on Win 7 64bit. We have tried both the DX9 and DX11 rendering modes but nothing has worked. We are running the latest WHQL from nvidia and the problem only presents itself after we've switched maps a few times. I've tried turning features on/off and nothing has worked, does anyone else have any ideas on what to do or is this something we have to wait for the dev to sort out?

Same here, I think this may be due to the latest Nvidia drivers. If you set your Nvidia drivers to high quality for all apps (not app controlled as the default), it seems to help.

    Anymore information about this?
Started to happen when i updated my Nvidia Driver to version 310.70.
And for the life of me i can't seem to get rid of the problem.

Nvidia just released it's 310.90 set today and I updated, played for a while and I had some flickering on my chars jacket but there was no black faces! At least it's a step in the right direction.

EDIT: Ok so the black faces are still happening but it does take a little longer to occur or it will self correct now.

I have this issue as well. It works fine for a bit, but then the faces start flickering black. I have updated to the newest Nvidia drivers, but the issue continues. I've set it back to DX9 as well, and there's been no noticeable change. It only happens after I switch back and forth between a few maps.

Looks like the last posted was in March 2013. Any permanent resolutions to this issue?
