What the heck is going on? I been playing for a week. And in that week i prob got a bout 2 hours of game time in. This thing crashes all the time. Every single time. Longest i got to play was 20 mins or so. Sometimes it crashes when i open up the launcher. Other times at the loading screen. Crashes in game for no reason just walking down the hall. And another thing. Why are the files always corrupt? How many times i have to re install before i get a good batch. Can we download the files from somewhere else?
Hands down the most unstable game i ever played. Im pissed and its only been 5 days.. This sucks because i really want to play this game.
My computer is beyond the specs needed for this game. i dont even have a firewall besides windows right now.
This is crazy i was just in the game and i said "Why does this gane crash so much?". And of course at that very moment it crashes. smh
I think it must be your computer. I have only had a single crash in the past two months...
Higher graphics settings can account for the ridiculous load times, which is very often the case for me at ESD and I'm yet to actually succeed in getting into DS9 without being stuck on the load screen for at least 5 minutes... this is usually caused by the large number of players residing in a single instance and it only gets worse coupled with higher visual settings.
Both my laptop and PC WAY over-exceed the *recommended* system requirements, yet these occurances are most of the time still inevitable.
No problems here, although sometimes problem can effect some people and not others but the problems you are describing dont match anything ive seen in years.
you probably need to update your drivers. having a great system is one thing, but if your drivers are out of date it can cause all kinds of problems.
My only problem is the V-Lag, but I don't see that going away without a major overhaul.
( "V-Lag" = You know, when you try to buy something and the game won't process your transaction for several seconds like it's been suddenly distracted by SWTOR or something )
Agreed. As inconvenient and irritating Cryptic's issues are, STO has nothing on *** when it comes to problems.
Jack Emmert: "Starfleet and Klingon. ... So two factions, full PvE content." Al Rivera hates Klingons Star Trek Online: Agents of Jack Emmert All cloaks should be canon.
