What planet is the Winter Wonderland on?

unitystarbaseunitystarbase Member Posts: 4 Arc User
Just sheer curiosity as to what everyone thinks, really. I know Q probably snapped his fingers and created a pocket universe consisting of just snow and mountains, but if it was on a planet, do you think it is something that would happen on Andoria? Or Exo III? Maybe Breen... :)

Why does it have to be a planet? Q could just wave his hands and create a dimensional pocket that contains just what we see.

I don't know the lore behind it, but some have said they think it's the Breen home world.

I always thought Q just plopped it down on Earth somewhere, out of some sense of familiarity for us ;)

Think of it like the Continuum. It just exists. Somewhere and nowhere at the same time.

Hey, it's the Continuum: if they want to be everywhere and nowhere at the same time, or make anything else be so, they can :D

Think of it, as a representation for what your puny minds can comprehend (a dreary desert-road, a blood-soaked battlefield etc) :)

Why would it be the Breen homeworld? In DS9 they said that Breen was very comfortable, they aren't sure what the real purpose of the masks and suits are.

Earth can also be considered comfortable, but we still have very cold regions. Maybe Breen does as well. It would explain the crashed ship.

Might be Breen since when first launched last year the series coincided with the winter wonderland or could also be Andorian:cool:

Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though.
JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

Someone mentioned/showed a pic of Hide and Q, I think of Winter Wonderland as much the same. I don't think it exists in a traditional sense. That is, I don't think you can go to Andoria/Earth/Breen Homeworld and turn left and oh there it is.

Rather Q makes it exist on a whim. Which is why you have to talk to him to get there, as there is no real "there" to go to, except by Q. Likewise, the Breen etc. are all creations of Q that exist solely for the winter wonderland. And when the Winter Wonderland goes away, they stop existing.

I mean, Q is suppose to be near omnipotent, you would think creating a location out of nothing wouldn't be that hard.

You don't think that perhaps that was a little euphemistic white lie from Weyoun, a terminal sycophant and yes-man, taking every chance he could to grease up anyone and everyone around him? :P
