Hornsbuck: it sounds like you indeed suffer the same game issue or bug that was reported in another thread, so I merged the two. It helps the folks investigating if we only have one thread to point them to for a game issue.
Also: Bug reports are great, but if you need GM help, you need to make sure you submitted a GM ticket. Check if you have an open ticket in your support queue. If not, then you only submitted a bug report - those do not get answers!
(And, because I just saw it again: There are no forum GMs. Really, really not. It's me and I don't answer your GM tickets.)
When i walk back into the Admirals office he is still waiting for me to finish my promotion to commander quest. This was the other thing i thought it might be.
That quest is stuck on the bit where it says choose your ship. I did, but the quest didnt update, niether can i delete the quest.
Have i somewhow got my commander ship the wrong way missing something therefore not triggering the quest?
Anyway the promotion to commander quest is incomplete and i cant do anything with it.
Something like this happend to me but it was because of skill points maybe you have some still to spend. or you bought the nebula or the excelsior if so you have to buy heavy cruiser heavy escort or what ever the science vessel is for the commander rank. hope this helps.
Okay, we got different reports now and in most cases, we have found that there were skillpoints left unspend.
You need to make very sure that you are spending your skillpoints. If you have skillpoints left over, you cannot rank up. This can mean in some cases that you do not have enough points to spend in a higher tier, but can still spend points in a lower tier.
Please double-check and provide a screen shot if you are certain that you have spend all your points, like Vipermist did.

I had this happen. It was a plague on one toon. I found that there seemed to be some way to get to a SINGLE skillpoint needed, yet it showed that I had zero left to spend. Don't know if that's the issue here...
Well im Commander 13 now, that cant be right. Ive been to the skill trainer and respent all my points acording to the skill builds of a Captin one.
What i dont get is it says for the skill build of captin one its 78.000 points spent, ive spent on 38.000 and ran out, why are my skill points short?
I have sent a ticket weeks ago but no reply, i checked today and it even said ticket system unavailable. Am i destrined to be a commander forever? who knows maybe someday i'll be Commander46 or something!

Do you have any Screen Shots of the condition you are seeing so that other players might see through your Eyes? There may be a detail they could pick out that you may be missing.

It was my 1st time asking anything on Star Trek Forums so i can only appologise if this caused merging of topics ect or slowed anything down. I am really impressed with the level of responce i recieved from everyone so thanks again, we got there in the end and it was fixed by forum advice.
Remember all, dont leave fleet invites open! guess thats my lesson anyway.
I must go now as atlast i have the galaxy to explore... but as a Captin!

Ask for Fleet Admiral rank!!! Be the only one for awhile. At this point i'd submit another ticket and all.

The process as I understand it is that if tickets get to a certain age, (3 days??), with no additional feedback from the Customer, they are "Auto-Closed" by the system, due to inactivity. You should consider, if you have not already done so, Re-Editing the Ticket every Two or Three days, if for no other reason, just to say something like:
"This Problem is still Present, Is there a resolution yet?".
That will keep your ticket on the Active Problem list as long as you keep doing that.
Necroing my thread and submitting another gm ticket, because this issue is still outstanding and has not been fixed, even with s5 changes and respecing into the new tree i have the exact same problem.
I can't access LG rank, still can't buy LG ships, still says im MG6 even when i have the exact number of skillpoints earned and spent required to reach LG,
I am having the same issue of not being able to Rank up to Captain, says 173,000 required and I have 200,500 spent. Also I might add I was already a captain its been some time since I last played. When I logged in my screen was going crazy with mission exp and what not. Its funny bc I have the captain rank tactical ship and my char and my ship both have captain gear and items equipment. But says I'm only level 33 commander. My blue exp and yellow rank bars are both full to the max but cannot rank up. Have and in game ticket in and a support ticket in and to my dismay have heard nothing back at all not even an automated response. poor poor customer service.:(

I don't play this game anymore, but you're wasting your time looking for help. They failed to fix my issue or offer compensation, and id be surprised if anything has changed.

Well I'm starting to see what you mean Viper. Its been days now with no ticket response. I am now a commander (37) still unable to rank up. Yellow bar is full I have spent 238,500 points almost rear admiral rank and still wont even let me rank to captain. I was level 32 Captain long ago b4 all the changes. I still have my captain rank tactical ship all items on my ship and my char are rank of captain. I even tried purchasing a CStore re spec token to see if that would fix the issue. To my dismay it was a no go. It would just be nice to get a response from 1 of my tickets. I've had 1 open on support and via in game for days now. If nothing else hoping maybe a Vet player has some insight to this.

this guy obviously has a different issue as his promotion is still open.
I wonder how many of these backlogs of tickets are for similar trivial non-issues? that are delaying my guy from getting fixed.
