I ran the ground portion Into the Hive on Elite with some of my friends today. From this, we discovered the private queue system is busted, as in the start button was greyed out for the instance creator (bug report #30,052). We tried swaping hosts multiple times before we just all teamed and jumped the queue.

Inside the map, we ran into massive lag spikes, and one person had to drop his settings to minimals to even play. I highly doubt the lag is intended, but I gathered that Into the Hive was disfunctional for my friend at the higher graphics settings.

New Romulus is very laggy, even on the lowest settings. :(

No Omegas for finishing Hive Onslaught.

Got the Borg, got the two mini V'gers got the Queen's Diamond, also got no Omegas. :(

I did not have enough time to scan for lifeboats. Maybe that is why I did not get the Omegas. However it works out it's still a more than touch disappointing.

...and liked the fact that I can choose to play for Fleet Marks or Items. Can't wait to start Season 7 and all the improvements on the Holodeck.

I really like the new queue. You really put effort into it and it shows. Lots of nice info in a nice streamlined format. that said I would like to complain that you took away the single best feature of the old queue. For those of us with limited time to play knowing how many are already queued for an event is crucial. Why the HECK did you take the very best feature of the old Queue OUT?

Cut the fmv length in Hive Onslaught... It kinda kills the game momentum... Also I love the fmv when you first beam to New Romulus. Its little touches like that which make it great... Pan the camera slightly more to the left as the Romulan is hidden behindnthe Character in their last conversation before he beams up. Other than that very impressive!!

New Romulas maps so far apart on foot. After getting the transport up I guess it wouldn't be an issue though.

I played around with the new changes for Season 7 on Tribble and have a bit of feedback.

Most pressing is that I hope that we can have the reputation system as an account progression system and not a character unlock. I doubt I'm the only one who has a bit of replayability by enjoying the variety of having each character class for both factions. Since this system is set up to be balanced for the casual player over a time period of a few months, having 6x that would be rather terrible. I don't mind a little grind, but I don't feel the need to solo a starbase and I don't have a desire to grind up the same reputation systems for each character just because I garner some fun and replayability by switching classes.

The second is that I realize the reputation system is the wave of the future for new content/items, so it makes sense to rejigger the existing STF rewards to fit the new mold. However it would be much more palatable, and rather more sensical, to just require omega marks for reputation progression, rather than an added dilithium tax and a wacky variety of provisions/shileds/etc., to siphon off energy credits. A reputation system just eating up omega marks/romulan marks would be far more well received.

So now that the testing weekend is over, when can expect Season Seven to go live?

Agreed and not. Agreed in that eating up dilithium and other resources - especially when reward drops and ability to access dilithium, etc. are becoming increasingly rarer (and more than a tad stingy) - and it really is an extraordinary amount of time to spend grinding, then only to wait a long time for a project to finish, particularly in the Rep system.

Disagree entirely that one would need Omega marks to gain 'reputation' progress, simply for the fact that not everyone plays STF missions, which is where one will get Omega marks in S7. Unless I play an STF mission with mates and Fleet members, I avoid them like the plague - too many cooks in the kitchen, and gawds forbid you do an Elite mission and step a toe "out of line" with what one or two others THINK is the right/best way to do things (usually frakking up enormously themselves, yet placing the blame on one, two, or all the other players for "failing" and explaining how all the others suffer from recto-cranial inversion...unlike themselves, of course.)

Anyway, I digress: In my opinion, crossing two new currency systems would lead not only to some serious redundancies and would, in this case, invalidate the reputation system, but would create an even deeper level of grind for everyone.

Not like there's not enough of THAT already...

The Radiation sample mini games fine -Romanesque is good..
Re-spawns of Tal Shair Teams a bit harsh hard to collect samples for various collection missions in the Perks when you are back shot almost immediately..

A Rom Engine blew my Boff up and no sign of her to revive.. i had the map location marker.
zoomed in could not find her. Also my TAC Boff isn't firing very often and never used insect spray..

So now that the testing weekend is over, when can expect Season Seven to go live?

Hopefully not for quite a while yet - they rushed S6 along because of all the "chomping at the bit," yet paid very little attention to the feedback they were getting on glitches and things that were inherently weak or bad ideas. What happened to the first 75% of the train wreck that was S6, then, you ask? They spent a chunk of it fixing a lot (though not all) of the things that the player base had let them know about during testing!

So, if you're listening up there, ye gawds of Cryptic/PWE: PLEASE pay attention to your player base and get things as right as you can BEFORE the S7 launch - I PROMISE the players will be happier, and then you'll be happier because - let's face the bottom line - you'll make more money. It's SUCCESSFUL production, not production itself, that gives you positive results...

    Just sayin.';)

I hear ya man, I just want the Vesta Class, I am currently sitting on 5,000 Zen and eagerly waiting to buy it! I know Season Seven will have it's bugs. Now a lot of fans of this game have been waiting over a year to have this ship and now we are being told that we have to wait for the launch of season seven! So I would agree with you however in this case, release season seven with the bugs and give me my Vesta Class!

Hi my observations on the "Season 7-Tribble" from a female's perspective. First off, I do think most of the content is different and I noticed everything is being geared to individual game play. Though I understand the project based system and how it will lead to more faction introductions a few notes
    1. Hive space-at normal was a lot of fun, I can't imagine "elite" but even after doing 850 stfs, challenging, but all stf's are a challenge when you first do them. Ground was a little easier.
    2. Romulan project based home world is different and will be fun to explore and get into.
    3. Love the new alerts with Tholians, and hopefully would like to see such alerts of different varieties in all sectors. I do think this is more preferable than searching enemies in a sector that are a little redundant and inconsistent.
    4. The only issue I had with the reputation system is that it is very confusing as to what choices lead to what?so basically during the testing. I did everything, which I don't think is the intent. I do think more end result choices need to be given to the player that gives them a uniqueness to that scale chosen? For example, Omega Tactician, Omega Scientist, Omega Marauder, Omega Strategist, and equipment geared to that special course chosen, and as that chosen course is done, it grays the others. A more job specific project based system.
    5. A more request to the creators to be a little more female oriented fashion. I would also like to see two things changed. One, if someone earns the Engineers to craft mkII very rare equipment where the highest percentage is 24%, then why penalize that person. I have seen consistent cool down days, where one day you can use 5 specific eng (space-let's say damage, system, tech, warp, and matter) get u purples, and the next day blues and then a day of greens. Even if this is a random thing, I see no difference in having engineers. I have made purples with Tholians, Warp Theory or Operations duffs as long as they have eff/resolve. I also think since u have the license, have used Spock, Scotty, and McCoy in episodes, why not introduce 30-35% ultimate duffs with the massive list of all these great characters in whatever rank you wish. a Ltn Kirk, Kern, Commander Trip, Senator Pardek, Data, Rom, or whatever great famous St character u wish. I would love to see a Judzia Dax Duty Officer. Each could have a unique ability and making them extremely hard to get. for example Ltn Data-gives u a faster eff time on an ability, Rom increases your energy credits, maybe Trip can increase your dill intake?something. You can even have them project oriented. Though bound is part of most games. I would stop the bind of pick up. I would also like to see Risa and actual place u can swim with a respectful bathing suit and do games.
    Anyway my suggestions.
    Bad

Not sure how long you have played this game, but I can tell you that wonderful post you wrote would have gotten more response and looked at if you filed bug reports or left a suggestion in game in the proper channels. Most Dev's avoid the forums and so do the tech guys! I do like your suggestions though! And you are right the rep system is way to confusing! When this goes to Holodeck I will have to carefully decide how to evolve my characters!

This coming weekend is a Tribble Test Weekend! Not only can you test out the new content releasing with the launch of Season 7: New Romulus, but you can earn a special reward for doing so. Read more for full details.

11/2 UPDATE @ 3:35 - Tribble has been patched and the Test Weekend officially started when the servers came back up.

    Tribble Test Weekend Reward

Play on Tribble for at least one (1) hour and earn an exclusive reward. The reward will be revealed and available at a currently unannounced date after the launch of Season 7.

When are the "special rewards" for participating in this going to be handed out? It has been almost 30 days and I have not received anything nor have I received any correspondence from PWE/C stating I will or will not be receiving anything.

So, how long after the Launch of S7 are we to wait? Or better yet, did I get something and not know it?

    Thank you

    Thank you

Sometimes, it takes a while. If I recall correctly, S6's rewards weren't handed out for several weeks afterwards.
