Tribble Test Weekend Announced

This coming weekend is a Tribble Test Weekend! Not only can you test out the new content releasing with the launch of Season 7: New Romulus, but you can earn a special reward for doing so. Read more for full details.

11/2 UPDATE @ 3:35 - Tribble has been patched and the Test Weekend officially started when the servers came back up.

    Will the story missions be coming on tribble for the test weekend as there not on there yet just romulous and some system stuff, no story missions to go in the mission branches like fed, rom, klin, borg, undine, cardy, as i havent seen anything in there new.

    Can you copy existing max level characters over to Tribble, or do you have to start from scratch?

    Is it emo and have pointy ears?

    Oh, and unless something goes horribably wrong, season 7 launching on the 15th, or there abouts. Of course, that just my guess. Anyone want to take up the bet?

    Yes you can! Right here: http://sto.perfectworld.com/community/tribble-test

    Remember, things in your account bank will not copy, so remember to move them to your regular bank or personal inventory before initiating the character transfer if you want them on Tribble.

    If Cryptic wants something tested, why not tell us where to go and offer a reward there?

    Examples:

    "Play in 3 STFs (any difficulty) and get an Omega Tribble, providing 1 Omega Mark per hour!"

    "Play on New Romulus and complete 3 missions (any difficulty) and get Ground Specialist: Reman DOFF!"


    But I can spare 1 hour on Tribble with no problem. And I can't argue about free stuff. :) Just wish there were more rigorous testing goals to help Cryptic gather feedback where it's needed.


    EDIT: As much as I'll be running ground, I wouldn't mind getting an extra Romulan and/or Omega Mark each hour if that's the Tribble reward. :)

    I don't really mind those tribbles to be honest. I just hate how they made the Fleet Tribble a single claim item that is not equippable on bridge officers (so you either keep it on yourself or in your bank/inventory where it'll eat all the food).

    Hmmm, that doesn't give us much time to sort through the conversion rate, and that is assuming you will actually put it on tribble tomorrow....

    They had awards for doing certain things before, but that was for F2P and what not. Rewards for leveling and doffing.

    well, we have seen the "sooner than you think" from Brandon already, so this is probable

    however the doff promotion ends two weeks from now, so I would guess it is then and not next week

    No, they don't always tell people in advance what the reward is going to be.

    An unanounced reward given at an unanounced date? :D Did someone forget to make some plans about that?

    You're going to create a lot of expectations about it. People might hope something great. :)

    Ok i work sorta uncheap.. but an hour i can slug it out.. have some fun gaither loot.. with the best of them.. Now we should talk another belt row i mean its like so not 2265 anymore..neew a 2 or 3 rwo belt. .for all these consumables..

    Special rewards....riiiight.:rolleyes: Let me guess....a Romulan Mark Tribble,it will give you 1 Romulan Mark once per hour,and it eats Dilithium at 1 Dilithium per second when placed on your character,inventory or bank.

    Oh gee mister,that is an awesome reward....can I have 2!?:D

    Brandon, could you please tell us if the reward item will be an account-wide item or character specific? Be nice to know if I need to transfer each of my captains to tribble and play an hour each or if I can just use one of them.

    Oh yeah, and is it just play an hour on tribble or is it an hour doing a specific instance?

    The best part will be that we will only get to test the first tier or two of the reputation system. I seriously doubt anyone will get to T5 and be able to fully test how well this new system works.

    "Cloaked Tribble" would be funny AND save the artists work.

    Maybe have it grant a buff similar to the Jem'Hadar shroud that has a chance of shrouding you when you take damage.

    so far i have been trying this planet out im very impressed and cant wait for this weekend to continue checking it out , with all you have done here i wish earth could be as exciting there is so much more that could be seen ex...starfleet command the hall with all diplomates from all planets paris where the federation presadent is and so on but as for this planet im impressed cryptic can never say they cant do it ....

    Play for one hour on the Tribble Test Server between tomorrow's Tribble patch and Monday, 11/5, at 10am PDT to be eligible. Anywhere on Tribble works, and the reward will be account-wide.

    And what will that reward be, exactly? M guess was a Mark Tribble, awarding either Rom or (preferably) Omega Marks.
