You know its going to be a bad stf when your teamates are all in the latest lockbox/c-store ubership (seriously...I have yet to see a decent vesta in stf, normal or elite and the first wave of timeships were as bad)
You know its going to be a bad stf when you hear the sound of a tractor beam repulsor coming from a ship not your own..several seconds after dropping a grav well yourself (why?)

Eh, when you're the only raptor and you let the bops and raptors fly by when killing the cube, and you have to break off and help your 4 teammates who are ALL defending the Kang.

You're left to defend Kang while the other guys are working all 3 cubes at the same time with scatter volleys.
Red Flag OI had was yesterday after getting Lt. Commander. Got my ship the game gives me modified, but couldn't get my tac and sci NPCs to load on the ship. Set em in right, as I did on my Maranda and (bought) Con ship, but couldn't get my crew on the ship the one the game gives ya for making lt.c.....oy Glitch city. Yep I went to the part ware ya put the crew at the stations etc. The game just wouldn't let me assain my bridge crew...*sigh*. Hopfully after the update the game will let me put my crew on board. I just returned to the game I played during the Criptic years. It's still fun this was just a well oy moment.

Had a run of just terribad DPS in groups yesterday.
Infected normal, when I broke off the cube and took out both spheres, the cube started regenerating through the damage of the other four combined.
Fleet alert, wave 2 came and I went one way while everyone else went the other. Cleared my side, turned around, and most of the frigates were still alive.
Had a ~45 minute starbase defense which lost all 12 freigthers, lost the starbase, lost all 4 facilities (I very nearly saved the transwarp gate but died before I could kill the second Negh'var), and then lost the starbase again.
1 German speaking Klingon female science officer armed with a hand disruptor
1 Russian speaking Alien tactical who seemed to think that borg are vulnerable to plasma (only english words heb used were "plasma weapons")
1 totally inert and unmoving liberated borg who never actually moved at all
1 Some completely mad (and I think Welsh) Joined trill with a wide selection of grenades

We muddled through until we realised the liberated borg was AFK then people started to log out
but in the meantime I was the only person with a melee weapon OR a remodulator
I explained it to the welsh guy and he replicated one
Heheh, just because people have the outfit doesn't mean they can play - even moreso now.
I can't even begin to explain to you the number of people I personally carried and yes I have seen people get an elite set drop on their first run ever lmao
It might simply mean you had the patience to let others carry you long enough to get the drops or you were lucky, or both.
It's far from certified you can play just because you wear it.

Sometimes it starts OK, but by the time your chasing the Schmitar 1 guy has bailed and another carrier noob has his pets bouncing off the schmitars hull just as you get his shields down.

... course in that hour we DID figure out how to kill it with a fed cruiser, raptor, and carrier.
All the players but one run off to chase a sphere leaving only two players to destroy a Transformer and any Nanite Spheres continuously generating because they screwed up that part too.
Then they send you a nasty whisper that they were "the only ones that knew what to do" when you mention they should read the Wiki and put you on ignore so you can't explain you were just trying to help.
