    skip the steam download

download regular or use old downlaod

then follow the unpacdkj instructions, whicfh are go to log in - log in

    go to my account

on the left is a redeem buttoin in the middle

    hit that - enter code

    then it swhould unlock

course it kinda sidestepsw the prob - and if the only down;load u have is steam then your talking douynle load and time

in which case i would unistall and reintall on steam

these are the methods i would use

    irrefutabl;e

When you are in the steam client go to your list of games. Right click on star trek online and click on get CD key. It should be there.

If I am reading the OP's posts correctly then they are constantly trying to start the game through steam even though the game hasnt been downloaded through Steam.

The original install works fine but there is no access to the Steamrunner there, so please do what has been asked before.

    1. Open Steam and go to your Library
    2. Select Star Trek Online
    3. Click on CD Keys and select Steam starter pack
    4. Copy the code there.

At no point do you need to try and start Star Trek Online through Steam. It is not needed.

Go to Startrek Online website and go to 'My account'

Select redeem keys and paste the key there. After clicking submit login to STO normally.

Go to Z-Store and select items. The Steamrunner pack will be in there to claim. It will come as three boxes, 2 of which contains ships and the other has junk items which cannot be reclaimed.

Still waiting to be able to use forum titles

I don't know why but I've been able to claim everything on two toons. Granted, like dirlettia said, one box has junk, but it is useful for a brand new toon.

curious now if you got it to work

but the above post has it - go to "games" at the top of the steam window

    then "view games library"

mskre sure star trek online is on the list , right click

second on the list is "view cd key"

then it shpows an item and product code box

then - login - my account - redeem

Right click on the "Star Trek Online" in the list. Don't just left click it to open the Steam STO page. View CD key is the second option in the context list that appears.

You have STO installed with steam (that steam downloaded) or is it just a non-steam game shortcut for STO in your games list?

I did the same. What worked for me was the following.

    1.Start to redownload with steam
    2. Pause the download
    3. Right Click on the download and select CD key
    4. Copy CD Key to clipboard
    5. Log into my Perfect World Account --> Redeem Key
    6. Redeem Key
    7. Uninstall Steam
    8. Enjoy the Steamrunner! :-)

    Hope this helps.

Is there a DLC option maybe its under there?

Frankly it doesnt help that your English isnt exactly too clear. Nothing against but it kind of makes me work to understand what should be my first language. :D

Okay so You had STO as a Non steam game shortcut under steam.

You then saw the steamrunner pack. Installed STO onto Steam and then bought the steam runner? Or did you do it the other way around?

Either way you should have gotten an email as a confirmation receipt. If I recall correctly there should be a code on that. Did you try that one?

If you bought it, you will have a confirmation email. And they should be able to sort it out for you.

Make sure the steam account you are logged in on, and the one you purchased with are the same. Or it won't let you use the stuff.

I cant get contact with steam support. They just wont respond. Iam really staring to hate steam.

No, it's not really a DLC. He's trying to right-click/CD key on his non-Steam STO which he added as a non-Steam game.

The email he gets won't contain the code. You need to log into Steam, view the steam version of STO, right-click on that to see the CD key.

Right-click on the steam version of STO and you see "Play Game, View CD Key, Manage game account/etc". Do it his way on the non-steam game shortcut and he sees "Launch..., Delete shortcut/etc."

Kinda. I or anyone on Steam can buy the pack, then 'give' the key to some other STO player. If Steam linked your SteamID to PWE, we wouldn't need to 'redeem' key.

PS If you have given your key away and regret it. Make a new Steam account, buy the pack and ... use the key ^-^.

I was confused when I first bought it myself. I couldn't figure out how to activate it. But then while playing through Steam (starting up Steam first and starting the game from there), the first window that popped up was one that gave me the code to put into the account information page. And that worked easily for me. As a matter of fact, that pop up kept coming up every time I launched the game, until I finally disabled it (as I didn't need it any more).
