I got to thinking about this...
I keep reading all the complaints that, when it comes to ships available in the game, Klingons are lagging far behind the Feds. The latest complaint I've read being related to the new Steam Starter Pack that included the special Steamrunner Blockade Runner ship; and yet the Klingons got what?
So.
With all that in mind, I got to wondering...
Most of the ships in the game are related to, or based on, some other Ship that has either appeared in an Official Star Trek TV Series, Movie... or Book (Vesta)... With these, there have been countless variations on the Federation Ship portrayed. Some of them are new ship designs that are based on some other ship that was made famous during one particular scene... The Thunderchild Class for the Feds being an example here.
The
Thunderchild Heavy Escort Refit in the Game, is a design named after a famous Akira Class ship, the
USS Thunderchild, that was portrayed in Star Trek First Contact, featured during the battle sequence at the beginning of the movie when Star Fleet was battling the Borg Cube, before the Enterprise charged into the fray...
On the Klingon side we have the
Somraw Class Raptor. An entire class of Klingon Raptor that is based on an actual ship, the
IKS Somraw, that appeared in a Enterprise episode.
So with this in mind...
I got to wondering what OTHER ships are there out there, actual Klingon Ships that have been portrayed in Film, TV Series, or major book series... that are NOT currently in the Game; or are there any other "famous" Klingon ships portrayed in either that an entire new Class of ships cvould be named after?
Here's a few I thought of...
IKS T'Ong - Featured in the TNG episode that introduced Worf's mate, his son's mother; K'Ehleyr. How about a T'Ong Class of Ships in the Game? What could it be?
IKS Pagh - Featured in a TNG Episode, a Bird of Prey which Riker was transferred to as the first Star Fleet Officer to serve aboard a Klingon Ship! This ship was also famous for being the very first Bird of Prey to be featured on a TNG Episode. It was larger then the standard B'Rel class too... more along the lines of the K'Vort Class! How about a Pagh Class added to the Game?
IKS Koraga - Featured in DS9 Series, another K'Vort Class Bird of Prey! Perhaps a Koraga Class of ships can be added to the Game?
The K'Vort Class! Featured in the TNG and DS9 Series', an enlarged version of the B'Rel Bird of Prey, classified more as a Battle Cruiser! Heavy hitter, but less agile and slower then a Fed Galaxy Class.

"I want this for TAC Carrier with this many consoles, equips these guns, has this HP ans shield spec oh and I want it to have 4 hanger bays oh and a super turn rate, etc etc etc!"
PWE doesn't need us to tell them how to design a ship.
They just need us to point them in the direction of any actual Klingon Ship Classes that actually exist, that they perhaps have not added to the Game.... or perhaps some famous Klingon Ships of the past, that could have an entire new Class named after them and with that in mind, why should that particular ship have an entire class named after it? What was special about it? Did it accomplish some great engineering feat? So could it be a new Engineering Class ship for the Klingons? What was the name of the Bird that the Duras Sisters used to destroy the Enterprise D and could that be a good name for a new TAC Class?
Let's give PWE some ideas here and point them in the right direction!
There's already a Pach Raptor; that could get confusing.
I'd like to see a D5 class, or some refit of it. A K'toch scoutship would be cool too, even though we could barely see it in the episode. And a 22nd century BoP would be fun.

These hard canon ships cryptic could use as concept
For updated sexy Klingon warships
L-6 Defendor
L-9 Sabor
D-10
They could use the general look and make them
Even better
Saphire.. Science ground......Ko'el Romulan space Tac
Leva........Tactical ground.....Koj Romulan space Eng
JJ-Verse will never be Canon or considered Lore...It will always be JJ-Verse
reflected in game by having more retrofits.
Wasn't there a scout ship or science ship being sucked into a gas giant in an Enterprise episode?
While I agree that we need the K'vort, I have to wonder...why should it be less agile than the Galaxy?
I mean no matter which episode, the ship was never longer than 350 meters, meaning it was smaller than the Vor'cha.
Why would the Klingons build a ship so comparatively short and then give it the gaility of a ship that's roughtly 3-4 times its mass?
Believe it or not, we already have this ship.:)
When you read John Eaves' blog on the ship they used in that episode for Klang's scout, you'll find this:
http://johneaves.wordpress.com/2009/09/29/klingon-shuttles-volume-2/
it's the "General's Chariot".
Yup, that was the Raptor in the Enterprise episode "Sleeping Dogs".:)
The 22nd C POP
A proper Somroaw (The STO version is pretty much nothing alike).
D-5
D-6 (The Koro't'inga is pretty much nothing alike).
K'toch (The small shuttle not the DujHod which is about 40m)
D-7 with the extended tube (from the TAS)
D7 IKS Groth Type
D7 from ST:09
K'Vort
A load of Negh'Var variants not ingame.
And the M'Char, D'Gavama, and B'Rotlh, BOP we where promised a while ago.
Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though.
JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

I was hoping to see a high level D7/K'tinga ship for the C store But they made it into a Fleet ship. With to me that stinks. Since I don't have much time for STFs. To get up the Fleet credits to get it. I still want to see it in the C store. Or some way to convert points so I can buy it.
USS Casinghead NCC 92047 launched 2350
Fleet Admiral Stowe - Dominion War Vet.
That was the Somraw
Lotta great ideas here guys. How about some famous Klingon Ships in known Lore whose names could be used as a whole new Class Name like the Somraw was?

Rrezeth, Gorn Tactical, primary alt
Nari, Orion Science, secondary alt
Yep. Fix the Qin pivot, and put together a 3-variant of it, sharing customization options with the existing Qin/Birok. Make sure it lives up to the two descriptions we have - hard core hull (based on ENT Sleeping Dogs) and deadly front arc (from the in-game descriptions of the class the shipyard requisition contact gives you)
Personally I would make the tac version with a console that gives it a single-target Disruptor Autocannon (similar to the Bortasqu'), an eng version that gives it a Coherent Molecular Alloy console for a hull buff of some kind. For Science, I sadly don't see anything in the notes on our one and only hard canon example of Raptors we have. I'd love it if those consoles could be used on any Qin (including Fleet) but I doubt it would happen that way.
I suspect, however, that a BoP will be more likely the Dev's reply to a Vesta.

I'm pretty sure thats the general chariot shuttle you get from a vet reward, just like the captains yacht.
I'd like one of the other fek'ihri ships. I know its not Klingon, but still cool looking.
No, the Toron shuttle is a class of its own.

Negh'var. Really, what we have is NOT a Negh'var. Where are the weapon pods ?!
Negh'var and it's variations, read up here:
http://www.ex-astris-scientia.org/articles/neghvar.htm
Vor'cha variants. It's covered by canon that the front module is exchangable. There were scetches floating around of ECM and fighter modules.
Would make a nice 3-ship-pack. Flight deck cruiser, tac cruiser and science variant.
9 consoles and build in ability pls.
They were talking about http://www.stowiki.org/DujHod_Chariot I believe.
Yep.. a whole bunch of classic Klingon ship designs.. all were at one point considered canon..
Even if Paramount never used them..
My favorites were always the the L series destroyers.. loved em all.. And truely dug the minimalist look of the D-4/5 and the wonderfully big D-10.
Please let us note the Orion and Gorn ships from the same game..
Hmm...they're similar, but not identical. And that's a shuttle; Goroth's ship was a full starship.

The smaller similar looking one is the K'toch class, which is about 3-10 metres long.

They were certainly considered canon by the fanbase, but that's the problem...unless it was on the screen or made by the prducers of the shows, it's not canon.
Same goes for fans of SFB, who consider it canon for the same reason fans of the old FASA stuff consider it canon: it's more consistent.
Even though the Orion Wanderer made a cameo on a computer screen in TNG, that's about as useful as the appearance of the Millenium Falcon in "First Contact".
Stuff made by FASA still belongs to FASA...or whoever took over FASA.
Means no chances for me to get a Riskadh.:(
*EDIT: the license for FASA stuff probably lies with Microsoft:

Does not the Fleet HoH'sus BoP fill that role?
R.I.P
Sadly I've developed my love of Klingon starships from non-canon sources (SFB,SFC, klingon academy, etc) and have no love for the canon ships. Until STO breaks away from on-screen canon we'll only get the same old TRIBBLE we have now. No SuvwI'QeH, no voDleH class, no pumwI'-class. Instead we'll get BoP's that dwarfs D7's in size, more Negh'Vars and vorcha's.
The D5 would be nice, as well as an upgrade to the Koro'T'inga.
