The USS Masamune turned bringing its quad cannons to firing range, one ship exploded in ball of white hot flame as they quickly turned to engage the second ship.
The bridge of the Masamune was hit just as it launched a volley of Quantum torpedoes....

Lock Security officer Kor finished his debriefing, no one on the bridge of the USS Masamune had survived.
Horatio, Nim, and others where beside themselves, no one could have foreseen Lock being lost like this, it just didn't seem possible the young Captain would have fallen in Combat.
Then, with gasps and a squell coming from Nim, Lock walked through the door to the Captains ready room and greeted his friends once more.

"Shields are at 25% and we have lost warp drive, 98% probability that the temporal engine is offline and we will not be able to return to our own time."
"What year is it?"
"The exact date is November 7th 2012."
Lock looked over to his XO and he uttered the words.
"Bloody brilliant!"
