Pretty sure "updated for this push" included "We removed the random drop bags". :P
Edit: Ok, so it was Salami, but you get the point. :P
*eats Salami for tricking him like that *
This only proves assumption I mean read it again its on about the Tech drops and the Salvage NOT the loot you are interperating it as "because they said they remove the dil by accident it means they didnt remove the loot by accident" Just because theres no mention of it doesnt mean it was intended for example. the mission "rapier" wont let me complete it should I assume because the devs have said "improved X mission" that it means because they didnt mention rapier being bugged that itll never work right for me?

You do have to remember that they could easily have removed the tech, salvage, and EDCs from the loot bag without having to remove the entire bag. It's a list, not a solid object, and their various tampering with lockbox implementation* only proves my point.
* - They've changed that loot bag what, 4 times over lockboxes alone? Not to mention the constant EDC events or the drops for regular missions, which have also been changed a lot for mere lockboxes.
Infinite possibilities have implications that could not be completely understood if you turned this entire universe into a giant supercomputer.
We allways hear things have been removed by accident, this excuse is getting old.
You know what maybe I should stop being optimistic but if I had then I wouldnt have ran stfs aslong as I have after all in my case I have run 1000's of Elites and not had a single prototype tech or salvage drop. I have seen folks quit just because folks on the forums assumed something was deliberate because they are jaded but I dont sit there thinking "why do we play sto we always get the pointy end of the stick" I try to enjoy the game. So I am sorry for being hopefull and enjoying a game.
BUT No one frome cryptic has said that change is permenant or accidental and all I have been trying to say is folks need to stop assuming itll never change after all every MMO is subject to change its the "Nature of the beast" but being negative doesnt help anyone and just ruins the fun aspect of the game itself.
Looks like i'll be looking for a new game sometime mid-November.
I hear Planetside 2 will be launching around then. Tired of this nickle-and-dime TRIBBLE, and Craptic (sorry Cryptic), pulling the wool over our eyes, claiming "whoopsie, we accidently removed TRIBBLE from the map", only to end up that they never re-add stuff. People have become too "accepting" to changes that Cryptic makes. We're paying their salaries ffs. Maybe we should use our wallets collectively and say, Enough is enough. Without the players, Cryptic won't have any money, and the company will fold.
I don't know why they decided to do these changes, only how I handled the last set of STF changes.
I completely avoided the STFs because I don't like the lottery system, I don't think it's any fun.
So now I have (however inadvertently) been rewarded for my boycotting them by a new system that allows me to not only be sure of my rewards, but lets me do Space Missions which I prefer.
I'd like to think they looked at the numbers, saw a dwindling number of STF players and acted upon that data.
That said, I won't be looking to get the Elite Mark 3 ground sets as I doubt a PUG will ever meet the Optional, much less ALL of them as these sets require.

No need to apologize. It's nice to not be the only person who focusses ont he good side of things.

I will wait for the next change to get those.
There are alot of fleets even my small "family like" fleet that are willing to run stf along side solo players or folks who cant get a organized group.
I take orders well (ex-military) and use the Wiki to brief myself on the mission as well as the optional.
I go into one (1) mission of Elite Infected on Tribble and wow has that changed from when I last did it for my Borg gear. Once the PUG blew the optional we just blasted everything into plasma and finished the mission. It was fun, but there was no communication until the end where everyone said they had a good time.
Comments
i am indifferent as i have not been able to get in an STF queue on tribble so i have no marks so can not get past the first 2 projects
I don't have the gear to try elites, but I can do regulars easily enough.

I appreciate any good group that wants to help.

Well, when I went to make a perfect world account, all the names I wanted where taken or unavailable so I just hit the keyboard.
It's fine though, I still use my Cryptic name to login, I just hope that doesn't change :P
