    Same problem here. Unable to Authenticate:

    EDIT: It's not a problem arising from a dc or log out since i have not previously logged in today.

    Same problem here.

    is there a place where 'they' will tell us what is wrong? and how long this will continue for?

    whenever there is a problem i always check here, but it is becoming a serious ball ache never actually knowing what is going on.

    Come on STO lets have some customer service and a bit of respect for your customers.

    I was logged in doing my dailies switched characters and got stuck at connecting to account server, checked my account on the website and says my account is inactive which is weird considering the account is a lifetime account which I bought at launch.......:confused: what gives?

    its now 424 pm and still down.... its been down for 6.5 hours so far..... is there a update when we can log in???? please give us a time frame please......

    It would be logical to make the Server status in the launcher as yellow or red instead if green.

    yeah its 4:25 est i loged out from the game for second...i log back in and its unable to authenicate. hope they fix whatevers wrong soon

    were any of you people around when they had the bi-weekly mid-day crashes that lasted sometimes 8 hrs?

    its only been down for minutes not hrs earlyer today there was maintance like every other thursday

    Life here too, says inactive... it is just the login server probably crashed so they are looking at server logs t osee why and will have everything hunky dory soon.

    yeah, having the same problem from the launcher, first time i have tried to log in today and been told at launcher login

    Unable to authenticate:

    Can anyone help us get this fixed please?

    Ah, thank gawd it's not just me...:rolleyes:

    I was on earlier, after the patch from today, no problems then.
    After a cple hrs took a break and decided at that time to update the tribble server in anticipation of the upcoming Tribble test weekend.
    After finishing that tried to log into Holodeck and encountered the "unable to authenticate" message.
    Rebooted system for 2 more tries, no effect...*sigh*

    First time I've felt like having a serious STO playing session since late August (guess where I've been spending my MMO time) and it can't authenticate.

    Sigh... :rolleyes:

    For every one experiancing this issue to continue to make "I cant log in either" posts seems a little silly given that a dev so quickly posted that the log in server would be up again shortly.

    All these posts do is serve to obscure that message from those checking to see if this problem is known still.

    Now that the above has been said. Waaaaaaaaaah I cant log in!, Let me Log in. The server is down, The server is down. I need my blanky, mummy get me my blanky!

    Why would people in-game need to know the status of the sever? If they're in-game, they know the servers are up...

    i just started havin the same problem and if that wasent bad enough i ran into a bug on cold call where all i have is a black screen (screenshot provided) and it only started after this latest patch http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v223/Bloody_Jack/blackscreen.png
