Relativity uniform, 29th century

woerligenwoerligen Member Posts: 262 Arc User
The Temporal Lock Box promo video shows the 29th century Starfleet uniform - the one worn by Captain Braxton and his crew of the U.S.S. Relativity in the far future.

Now, I am quite surprised that it hasn't surfaced yet. Will it be in the Lobi or the C-Store? I hope for the latter because to me this is not an extra type of clothing (like the Ferengi merchant jackets) but a genuine Starfleet uniform. As such, the player should be able to buy it off the C-Store as Account unlock, Imho.

I have more questions:
Division colours are as follows:
Blue/purple = Command
Brown/orange = Operations
Green = Science

Is the command uniform either purple or blue? It looks different depending on what image I look on...

Will Blackavaar update his Canon Color Guide with the new uniforms? He already has a post about 29th century colours but with different 'placeholder' uniforms. Thus, I am not sure how accurate it is at the moment.

As I have posted before, where it will be is listed at the bottom of the video:
Note: The 29th Century Federation Uniform shown in the video, as well as a unique version for the KDF, will be obtainable from the Lobi Store in the near future.

When, I can't say. I'd imagine sometime in the next week or two - as Cryptic likes to add new things to the game every week when possible.
STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

Yes, I remember your post. However, I didn't know that they publish items in the Lobi Store over a span of time.

Therefore, I thought (hoped) there may be an alternative way to get it. Well, good thing I already started saving EC to buy it off the exchange. :(

I hope those Uniform Packs will be sellable through the exchange.

Does anyone know if the corresponding combadge will be included?
Are ther any pictures of that uniform?

I'm not sure about the uniform colors but it seems to me that it is Blue for Command, Orange for operations and green for science. Most of the time uniforms look like they where a bit too purple on screen, i think that has something to do with the lighting when they where filming.

Personally i can't wait to get them, i always liked the unsymetric style of that uniform and the different uniform color code, i just hope that cryptic makes them right. I would hate if they would make them plastic looking or if they would add too much details, like on their own uniforms (Antares/Sierra/Jupiter).

You can see the uniform at the end of this video:

The correct combadge is included. However, I wonder whether they also have the correct rank pips? And if so, what do admiral's pins look like?

    Many thanks! :)
It is not easy to recognize but i think at 1:15 the officer in the middle has the right Rank insignia. A small modifcation with the color layout and i think i have finally found the uniform for my fleet. :)

Well, that will require a lot of EC and/or Lobi - to get everyone into that uniform...

As a starfleet uniform, i was hoping it would be like the Outfit pack - DS9 uniform. Once unlocked it is availlable to all characters.

I'm ok with some Fernegi clothes being a one part per buy thing, but a Starfleet uniform should be a unlock per account. If that's true, it would be a new low point of cryptics $$ greed.

They are account-wide? Wow, those are the first good new I hear pertaining the Lobi uniforms. I would hope this applies to the Relativity style, too.

    No, sorry i was unclear.
I meant that i am thinking the 29th century Starfleet uniforms SHOULD be account wide.
Since they are Starfleet uniforms i am hoping they are more like the DS9 outfit packs, so we don't have to buy them for every Character and every single BOFF individualy.

Sorry i didn't want to raise false expectations.

No, no, there was no misunderstanding: The Lobi DS9 bundle definitely is account-wide (Wow!), so the Relativity uniform could be account-wide, too.

Even though it's a Lobi Store item. If it's account-wide, I will definitely seek these out! If they are not account wide, I couldn't care less.

    Cool, i didn't know that!
I never bought a Lobi Uniform pack or piece. Thanks for the info!

I thought you referred to the DS9 Bundle in the Lobi Store, that's why I assumed the Relativity bunle could be Account-unlock.

That means: Lobi Store items are Character-bound, incl. the Lobi DS9 Bundle and, likely, the Relativity Bundle. Bummer. :(

As far as I understand it, their will be a KDF and Fed version.

i think players can roleplay what alternate future they are from. im still working on the idea that the feds and klingons still come back together. they just have their own ships

If you follow the DTI books, each of the factions of the Temporal Cold War are from different timelines, so it is conceivable that the Klingon timeships belong to a different temporal faction.

Yes, we even have in-game proof that more than one future timeline was accessed by the Tholians: We have 'regular' and mirror versions. Who is to say that all the Wells-class starships come from the same future? Even in TNG "Parallels" every Enterprise looked the same.

Just to clarify, if i buy one uniform Pack for one of my toons, do all of its BOFFs have acess to it? Or do i have to buy that uniform Pack for every BOFF individually?

BTW: sorry if i caused any confusion prior.

Character-unlock means it is available to one character and all his/her BOFFs.

I wouldn't mind if they delayed the release of this uniform, if it means that they make it an account unlock.

I don't think uniforms should be character unlocks. It stinks.

I cannot imagine that making it a account unlock would take more time than leaving it a character unlock. They seem to just want to wait another week for ... well ... whatever reason. Their motivations just go beyond me, whatever they do.

Thanks for the reminder - I just looked into the status on this costume.

It sounds like we'll be able to roll this out very soon. The art is now complete and it just needs to be properly hooked up and run thru the paces by QA.

I'd expect both the Fed and KDF versions to start appearing on the Lobi Store in approximately 2 weeks. That's not a solid guarantee though, only an estimate.

That wouldn't be the so worse but now we got the confirmation for it to be a Lobi Store item. Heck it's a STARFLEET uniform, not some laughable Ferengi stuff!
It has to be a account wide Z- Store item!

It sure would be nice if these uniforms ever made it to Holodeck. They disappeared on Tribble due to a pallet issue with the pants on the Friday of the Tribble Test Weekend and have never reappeared.
