    This will happen everytime you try the mission. Sorry, it can't be played properly until they patch it.

    it apparently came with the newest patch as far as i am aware, i have no doubt it will be sorted out by the next patch though, it's obviously a high priority type of bug since it's effecting a few different ground missions. i only ran across it on stranded in space and KAG/E

    Just as an FYI this is happening to both the NPCs and BOFFs in the Save the Azuria mission. It started with the new patch, as I re-played it with my main prepatch, but running it with a new character lead to major issues. I had to beam out and retry three times to complete the mission, and even then I had to solo without an away team.

    This is INCREDIBLY disheartening, as until now I had though you all had finally fixed the ground game in STO...

    I was able to replicate this as well. Unbelievable that the first mission in the entire game is broken.

    But new patch solve this bug?... I not that to think. : Mad:

    The Bug in this present Defera a lot of time ago, they have applied many patches and the mission continues with the same bug.

    Instead of thinking about the season 7, they should solve first these problems. : Cool:

    Maybe, but at what price? Who will be nerfed next? What will they break THIS time? Remember, nothing ever improves: Entropy always increases.

    For the Dev team looking into this:

    IF it helps the NPCs seem to be warping to areas inaccessible by PCs. For example in the Stranded mission in the area by the engineering deck there are 2 doors. 1 on the left facing the engines and 1 on the right. There's nothing behind door number 2 but that appears where all of the NPCs are warping to when they bug.

    For this mission there is a small workaround. Die so you spawn in the engineering section and one of your security team will promptly go in and kill the NPC there allowing completion of the mission. You must have your crew set to attack your target and then you can usually get a target (but not fire on) the Orion that bugs into there. So maybe there's NPCs spawning out of the map causing the rest of them (BOFFs and enemies alike) to bug out?

    This seems fairly similar to the issues that were happening in the exploration missions when NPCs would go under ground and the BOFFs would promptly do their job and go after them.

    My experience has been that they always warp to a spot that the PC can't get to at the end of the map regardless of the mission.

    Just as an FYI this is not COMPLETLY limited to ground combat missions/stf's/whatever. I have heard from several people that the Night of the Comet mission is unplayable as you have roughly a 1 in 100 chance that the comet will spawn correcly, break up into it's first set of pieces correctly, and then break up those pieces correctly so they can all be destroyed and complete the mission requirements.

    I'm not sure from a programing point how this would be related to the warping/falling thru the ground/walls/ceiling issues being experienced on ground missions but it apparently started at the same time.

    I'm just praying it's fixed soon as i'm on my Shard Sword of Khaless mission and I WANT MY SWORD DAMNIT!! :)

    Wrong, there was no patch.

    It is strange that the first mission you ever play in the game is broken as well, I hope there aren't too many new users out there :D

    to be honest though when you break both the starting mission and the end tier missions (STF's) that's a pretty awesome patch :D

    I still don't get how this patch screwed the geometry and scripting for said missions.

    the borg are transported every time back to the room
    the only way to atack them is by sending out your support drone's and your security escort they wil also be transpoted to the room
    in the meen will you have to kill all borg what transport back or shoot the shield away
    i have done the whit 2 players and we finist the game

    ps. also the end play wil happen in de room the main borg wil end there also :mad::D:):rolleyes:

    They seem to have found the issue and are currently working on it in Tribble to attempt t rectify the issue.

    I have completed this with 3 people. We set up turrets in corners, placed mines and transbombs, had our drones transport to the control room etc etc. That is where the borg are sent when they disappear. Once the forcefield is down, the second part of the map is fine/normal. Then the boss at the end will disappear and go to the control room as well. Go there (be ready to kill him and his minions at once) and you can complete it. It seems to depend though on who you have on your team and if they can get their drones/sec teams to glitch into the room and kill them while you kill the borg when they teleport back. I have only managed to do this once, because noone wants to stay for an hour just to move past the forcefield.

    Also noticed that if you stand close to a wall and place a cover shield up while you are facing it, you will teleport back to the beginning of the map.

    With that said.. It has been broken (KGE) for six days now. Why do we not see a notice when we log into the game that the devs are working on it, or even acknowledging it. I only see it mentioned slightly here on the forums. We go to STF's why? For fun yes, but to get items in order to become stronger, and therefore have more fun playing STF's. We also want to be equipped enough to teach our fleet members how to run STF's. There are not that many things to do in this game at level 50 as it is, and I would think this would be a major issue. One that we should not have to wait so long to be fixed. Honestly out of the 8 mmo's I've played, I have never seen so many things broken to the point that you cannot even complete them. If you needed to take the server down for a day instead of a few hours, that would be fine. But not informing the players on the launcher or in game comes off to me as not really being very interested. (yet the next lockbox promo is up!) I will be rethinking purchasing lifetime.

    same happened to me, joined a group who had hit the forcefield, left, joined the one on the planet surface (I forget which is which) and the first gate was already down yet only one person was there, who asked 'Has this already started?', between this and my DS9/ESD loading screens hanging I feel like a lot of my gaming time is getting wasted at the moment... I just want to get my Vet' Armour!:confused::mad:

    As long as there is a forum manager here, I want to ask about why the explosive AoE doesn't seem to work right anymore. Grenades, Chroniton Mines, Transphasic Bombs; when these go off in a crowd of Borg only one or two take damage nowadays. What gives with that?
