*snap* missed it by that much. Congrats to the winner

I have watched this thread for years and can't remember for the life of me if I ever posted in it. Given that there are some who would like to see the thread closed I thought it would be nice to post in it.
Z gave me a totally awesome purple engineer BO for my KDF tac that pilots a cruiser. A BO that had two hard to find skills. Z gave it to me for nothing about a year and a half ago.
That my friends is one reason why Z is awesomesauce in my book.
If you are a pickle in a pickle jar you know every pickle's different, sort of, but really they're all just pickles...

The other day I watched the rain fall from the sky, the droplets seemed so big. Do you ever get that, those big droplets, and a bit blueish?
Welcome biitta.
Yes, I was driving in Texas last month and the rain came down so hard that I could not see the road in front of me even at 30mph. They were huge drops.
Wish I was not a schedule so I could have pulled over and appreciated it more.

Speaking of rain, I've always wondered what it would be like to pilot a Galaxy-Class sized ship through a gas giant. I wish we could have a mission like that in STO.

That would be impossible, there are no windscreen wipers on a Starship.
Speaking of Z giving stuff. I would say the bulk of my decent BO's, from Saurian's to Lethean's all came from Z. About 5 minutes ago, I got a Borg Medical Analyzer kit in my mail from Z also. I may have passed one Z's way quite some time ago but I now have one again for when I finish my Fed Alt Sci. [=
Although I tend to be the one hosting the TFBB, that is Z's thing and I am happy to help out. Casual PvP for those who couldn't care if they were the best or the worst. It's all about fun and that is the type of PvP STO needs more of. Some of the play styles like today's Kirk Style Hand-to-Hand Combat have had a lot of thought put into their rules. STO's Dev Team could learn a heck of a lot from the matches we run weekly.
One of the best things about this thread that people tend to say time and time again is, people in here are friends. That really says something good about this thread and I am happy to say, I wouldn't have my favorite person in the whole wide world to enjoy if it wasn't for this game, the Ten Forward area of the STO boards, and the TenForwardForum in-game chat. I have also enjoyed the lots of great 10ites this game has introduced me to. This group isn't as small as most think either. Most sadly feel pushed away from the STO boards.
Starting off a new day and week with a new page. I sure do love when my day's start off like today. My buddy is PURE AWESOMENESS! [= Happy Monday, everyone!
WOO! This game just gave me something to do again. 7 new ships, 2 new shuttles, some mugly jumpsuit, and a whole bunch of rehashed stuff in the Temporal box coming this Thursday!
7 ships and 2 shuttles seems a bit much! It seems fairly obvious that bleeding the ship collectors dry of any extra money they will have. :P They should mix it up a bit more. Sure, there is that ugly jumpsuit and a ton of cross-faction consoles, some sort of Lobi set, etc. but I'd still like to see more and with diversity. Give us some Harry Mudd Android BO's with the big numbers around their neck. They could actually number them in the order they drop and have the numbers stay fixed. I am glad to see more Mirror Universe stuff personally. I do think they dropped the ball on a chance to capitalize on the Well's uniforms by putting them in the C-Store a week before the boxes went live. It's starting to look like the Vesta by the end of the September wasn't something Cryptic could deliver. The one ship I am really looking forward to and they can't even get it out for me to buy. That's not very good business in my personal opinion.
Looking for a new fleet? Drop by the in-game chat channel, "tenforwardforum", and say hi to the members of A Fleet Called Ten Forward (Fed) and The Orion Pirates (KDF). If you already have a fleet you are happy with, please feel free to drop by our chat channel if you are looking for a friendly bunch of helpful people to socialize with.
I have seen that post, although it was a long time ago. It was a great idea and we need mroe things from the series that are iconic but yet easy enough to include in an insignificant way to please Trek fans. Whether or not that outfit is useable on a BO or not remains to be seen.
And they $%#& well should allow Boffs to use it! They should allow Boffs to use all costumes if you've bought/earned it! That would make me so happy I would forgive Cryptic of their lockbox shenanigans and actually start buying costumes again!
I'd be so happy to have my own personal MACO team.
I do agree that costumes for your Captain need to be avaible for your entire crew. That would make personalizing your crew with a consistant uniform much easier. The special BO's they don't want you to alter though are more than likely the issue. The engine is so incredibly low-tech, that Cryptic can't separante the toon from the clothing. If they could, we would have locked BO's like the Jem'Hadar but his custome would be alterable.
In so many cases, the primative engine rears its ugly head. Ships are basically invisible rectangles with a design in them that extends well beyond the image we actually see, This is why betting ships close together for screenshops is a challenge. Some goes with just about any object in the game. The best example I can think of is the crates on the hover dolly by the tailor on ESD. Stand on the top of it and watch it move slightly up and down. When it moves up, your feet disappear into it but it it goes lower, you float slightly on it. On Granalda, you have NPC's walking off the trandsporter, into a corner, and right through the wall.

Warp-Speed Air Dry!
Would a nebula do it?
What are you suggesting? First fly to a gas cloud, get the windows wet, and then fly through a nebula to dry them?

You saw my post asking for that didn't you? :P
I have a boff practically begging for it! But we don't know if they can be used on Boffs...
