I noticed that they put up a voting system for what you want to be developed. At the moment its a tie between playable romulans and more KDF content in the far lead, approximately neck and neck. If we want our voice to be heard and insist on more KDF content, it would defintely help the KDF if more KDF content gets more votes. Even if they may not have exclusive content until season 8, we should at least make the point that more KDF content was the most voted feature players would like to see.
It was ahead when i did but now slightly behind Playable Romulans.
I suggested to a couple of friends to take the time to vote. I do not know if this will have a lot of impact but voting is better then just wishing and doing nothing.
KDF for me, anyone who votes otherwise doesn't have the interests of the future of this game at heart. If the Romulans were released now, it would be in shambles. The Dev's need to make good on their promises and prove to their customers that they have develop two factions equally and unbiased.

Well, I voted for PvP, but in all honesty KDF content and PvP content are tied for 1st place. Had to make a choice :S
My PvP toon is Krov, of The House of Snoo. Beware of my Hegh'ta of doom.
I don't think it matters if kdf or roms win the poll. Both say the same thing, people want alternative factions. I guess it also (indirectly) says that people want real PVP.
This seems to go against the current "stats" cryptic has, and really shows that the reason kdf has so few players is because the faction is so incomplete, and the reason PVP has so few players is mainly because of it's state - and lack of incentives.
I doubt that this is much of a suprise to anyone here. In truth, the "stats" cryptic has show that the problem has always been lack of content, and not lack of interest - they were just misinterperated.
I tend to think the best way to tackle 2013 is to end the klingon/fed war (temporarilly?) and add a rom/whoever war against the rebuilt fed/kli alliance. This could fix klingon content issues in the short term, to give cryptic time to add romulans and fix PVP. The alliance can then be broken later when they get the time to add new klingon content. In the long term, I would like to see fully dynamic sectors of space for the 2 (or 3) factions to fight over and build their starbases at.

Only because people are mistaken. They believe that playable romulans would be a rommie faction, but it's definitely not what Dan Stahl has in mind. He just wants to give a couple of specific rommie missions with the choice to join the kdf or the fed later, at level 10 or so. But if voters knew that votes would be dramatically be different.

If my romulan character can't fly romulan ships then they shouldn't even bother with the faction as far as i'm concerned. That would just be silly.
I would be more concerned with just what mini or sub faction means in regards to a new playable race.
Look at the Gorn. They are a defeated race. However the KDF would not be so kind to the Romulans if they met the same fate. I do not think that Romulan players would want to be thought of as a slave race.
Congratulation, you get a ship. Don't trip over the chain and you water dish is over there, it's on the floor next to your chair.
There is one thing though.
The actual wording on KDF is just like Romulans. More Klingon content is open to interpretation. It do not have to mean a complete faction. It could just mean one new mission in some persons mind. Here's another Alpha type mission for you, it's new content.
The poll doesn't refer to a Romulan faction. It refers to playable Romulans. As in: playable Fed/KDF race, or mini faction. Who knows.
yes i know that , you know that , but try telling that to all the romulan fans on the thread , they wont settle for it at all , some are even saying drop the kdf development completely and work on romulans lol
I have been saying for quite a while and actually been thinking more so after reading this thread that the Dev's may just give the Remans to the KDF as a sort of Protectorate (like in the Destiny/Titan/Typhoon Pact books) and the Romulans added to the Federation as there is a Romulan Colony tied to the Federation already in the Path to 2409.

I think that the Remans should be open to both factions as linked by the storyline of the FEs. Possibly the running of them opens the option to roll a RSE/Reman FF toon.
The other non-alinged half would be made up of the remnants of the old RSE government and they may be a new villian in influenced hy the Borg and Icpnians. Thag would be cool.
Having the Remans on the KDF would explain those Feddie Romulan missions where the player fights Remans as well. It would tie in nicely. I'm just looking at giving both factions a new species and to satisfy the Romulan fans, at least the realistic ones. :P
Currently they are approximately 100 votes ahead of KDF content improvements
I wouldn't worry mate, our requests are more realistic than a Rommie Faction, a lot less work and we've had promises made, no promises have been made to the Romulan faction, that doesn't even exist nor has been promised. Just playable Romulans have been talked about.

Even if the romulans are ahead a little it still shows how much interest there is for the KDF which they claimed not many were. The poll just proves them wrong and maybe they will start throwing us a bone.

Been playing STO since Open Beta, and have never regarded anything as worse than 'meh', if only due to personal standards.

And asked to everyone I know to vote KDF, because the Romulan can wait a little.

Maybe you can fly a D'dridex but you'll have it named I.R.W Enterprise.

Imagine if there WAS a kinda-fledged romulan faction..
More things for feddies to scream they want things from xD
hmm Romulans are currently the more popular choice...
