A former dev once said that Starbases where designed for PvP but they didnt make the time for the release date, and now we have to wait to season 9? 10? 15?

I actually think that PvP should reward the Most fleet marks since it requires the most fleet coordination.

I think it was the last Ask Cryptic when DStahl said they intended to have fleet marks in PVP within 3 weeks. That was about a month ago. Still waiting.

theres an stf store you exchange stuff for, thats a big part of why people play stfs.
as a pvp'er, i DONT want an item set from pvp. i DONT want weapons that have a [pvp] mod that works best in pvp like [borg] weapons work best against borg. thats the wrong direction to go, we don't want that.
there are all these fleet weapons, and they arent any good in pvp, regardless if they are MK XII or not. the dam mod is simply not great, being able to hit hard with crits, and hit reliably with accuracy are.
there are already the old pvp mark stores at k7 and its kdf counterpart station, a place to put new items you get from pvp marks is already in place in game. there just needs to be good items to put there.
i say make a pvp mark equipment something only a minmaxer would find useful, so the pve croud doesnt complain that pvp gets the best stuff. they would moan SOOOOO load if there was a set you could only earn from pvp. it could all be MK X even, as long as they have ideal mods.
like acc3, crit3 weapons, impulse engined with 3 turn modes, deflecters with 3 mods of the same type, stuff like that. being mk X, the pve'ers would scoff at it, but we would love it. its not introducing something that makes the fleet and dilithium stuff irreverent to a majority of players.

The problem isn't just the time. It's that Cryptic Mgt uses PvE vs PvP #s to justify not investing Dev time into PvP. Since the F2P change all of the top gear has needed PvE via STF grinds now Fleet Starbase grinds. Mgt choices have forced PvPers to grind PvE to get gear.
I don't know the current status, but the Foundry Daily awards 50 marks according to a thread title. Assuming this is correct. All one needs to do is 3 console repair missions and they get 50 marks, but you're worried about PvP exploits?
The reward mechanics are already there in terms of daily limits for dilithium. Just add 50 marks to the dailies. It would take longer to through 3 arena matches than do 3 console repair foundry misssions. The time it takes to queue and run 3 legit arena FvK matches I could make more than 50 marks doing 3 PvE missions.
Map out long term PvP goals and rewards, but I see no legit reason not to add 50 merits to an already existing dilithium PvP daily. Again, the only reason I can think of is to specifically require so much PvE to PvP in decent setups the Mgt who don't want to make PvP now have a pretext to dump an future PvP dev plans. There is a track record of this.

Correct, it's like spinning in circles. You need to grind pve to the point of going nuts, thus all pvpers do pve, pve apparent success is even higher, cryptic mgmt staff reach the conclusions most players (including pvpers) "love" pve. Honestly, I like doing pve sometimes, but I wold really like an alternative that will allow pvpers to get at least the same gear as pve has. I mean the stf sets, fleet marks, doffs, etc. It would be great also to get 1 edc from doing a pvp mission. And few fleet marks. And this doesn't imply adding new marks or anything alike. Maybe at the end should be an ultra rare item similar to stfs. thing is that in pvp (even now when pretty much we have c&h and arenas plus Kerrat) there is unlikely to face same team every time, thus it is not as boring as doing pve. Pvp could have a huge potential in this game if few alternatives and rewards would be added, more players would be attracted to pvp.

Givem some of the hihh costs we see in fleet marks for T3 in a Starbase, have you tjought about simply;
1 fleet mark for each Arena, 2 fleet marks for complete CnH and 3 fleet marks for each instance of Ker'rat finished for a total 9 in one day?

Fleet Marks seem like the most logical choice here....unless y'all are discussing Purple XII drops, or even XI. Speaking of which, I don't think it'd be such a bad idea to increase the frequency and quality of drops in PvP. The best drops I've seen have been some uncommon rubbish.

I do believe the majority of people are tired of doing the same missions over and over. There is 5 tiers to get in that star base , I myself am fed up doing them , we as gamers do not play games to be board to tears,,, we want content we want action we want fleet marks for pvp . There seems to be plenty of talk with not much happening , at least chuck us a bone and give us something.
Borticus, having good rewards for PvP, especially if the winners got significantly more than the loosers, would do a very great deal to generate good will and get more people involved in PvP.

I call BS, Cryptic removed the pvp currency, cheated us out of the 250 Emblems award to limit the amount of currencies. Since then we had more currencies then before, still no way to obtain [Cap]x3 shields in game, and no improvement or compensation for the previous rewards on PvP. Saying that you "want" to reward pvp is a joke, the starbase system is ample proof. It was designed from scratch, and since pvp is very much something that people and fleetmates do together. Not including it in the rewards system speaks volumes. As Dstahl once said: "judge me by my record." Fine, wanting to reward pvp is not what cryptic's record shows.
We're now talking about new maps past the 3rd anniversary...."knee jerk reaction" wow just wow....waste of time indeed
