I've never even seen a rumor they'd do that before his post, much less confirmation, so I wouldn't worry about it.
Even if they did, the promo runs for three months. You have to play 4 whole hours during that time.
The ability to get rep will be adjusted on participation. Which is why a head start MIGHT be good.
But you only hit an award level if 60% of people play less than you. So barring volatility, as much as 60% of people who sign up won't get the Experienced Reward because the bar will be adjusted weekly to keep the bottom 60% from qualifying. (Ie. more active players sign up and play more, but the rep line will adjust to ensure that only the top 40% of users for the week get the prize.)
Everyone who plays at all should get the Holodeck Bundle.
The bottom 40% will not get the Gumato. And as more people participate and play more, that will increase the number of hours required to play for the Gumato.
Oh well... I had thought about using this raptr thing, even set up an account. But it can't link to my PSN account (says I have no games) and it can't link to my Steam account (either can't connect to Steam or gives me the message that I have no games there too) so it is worthless to me. I guess it is time to uninstall this useless program and recover that hard drive space. I see why PWE/Cryptic are partnering with Raptr... they seem to complement each other...

So therefore, those of us who have already gained the "Experienced" rank will be demoted so-to-speak depending on how many more players participate? Hmm... It sounds a little unfair but, I can live with it personally. I spend so much time ingame I'm sure I'll get into the top 60%.
It kinda sucks though for those who have a limited amount of time to play per day/week/month due to RL stuff. And again, perhaps a little unfair. But oh well... Nothing we mere mortals can do about that I suppose!

I am pretty sure demotion never, ever happens. Once you gain a rep/rank, you're pretty much there until you get a higher rank. It may get harder to get a higher rank as time goes by, but I've never seen a case where I've been demoted from game status.
It seems to really benefit the early adopters. So if you get into a new game and play early, you'll probably have and easier time to get the higher reps due to less competition... unless that competition comprised entirely of people playing that game more than you (although in that case, as more people come into the game, you'll have more hours than them, so that would also boost up your status).
Although there's nothing stopping you guys from looking up this info yourselves, I'll see if I can find out more info on how the ranking works.
Turns out your status can drop if you stop playing. However, it's not like they can take away prizes already awarded, so I don't think I'd worry about that.
EDIT: Huh... looking at that page and looking back at my reps for the rest of my games, I guess when my STO status says "Congratulations! You are the #1 player of this game!", it's not just a blanket statement for everyone that reaches Elite, I am actually the #1 STO player on Raptr...
Thanks for the confirmation and the Link on the matter Phoenix! I guess now we know for sure that our Raptr rank/status can drop and we can keep on top of it if it's within our use of RL time to do so!
And congrats on the #1 Slot! With all those logged hours I'm sure you more than deserve it! lol.
I've added you as Friend on Raptr btw... Hope you don't mind?
Raptr gets information fromother games but not STO
Even tried to get it working by adding SO manually - does not recognize any of my 4x VAs chars with 8k+ accolade points and my main with more than 10k+ ... strange.

I have no idea what you're trying to do or even how you're trying to do it... Raptr only does *character* tracking for WoW. For everything else it only tracks the game, not what you do on a specific character.
To add a character to your profile you just input your characters manually by going to your account settings on the Raptr web page, select "Identities and Achievements", use the pulldown menu to select the game from your library and type in your character name (and maybe some notes if you want to add that too). You need to add the game to your library first though.
Are you using the app or just the web page? The table at the bottom of the app's download page describes what you can do with the app as opposed to only the web page. For STO, the only thing it can track with either the web page or app is hours played. If you're using only the web page and not the app, you 'll have to log those hours manually unless you're playing STO through Steam. It does not track STO accolades*.
*Raptr does track achievements from Champions Online, but I'm pretty sure it only tracks CO's achievements indirectly through your Steam account, meaning you would need to be playing CO through Steam in order for Raptr to see those achievements. I'm not sure why STO's accolades aren't trackable in either Steam or Raptr.

CO had to make code changes for that. STO hasn't made corresponding ones yet.

Thanks for the clarification.
Raptr identified STO as a game on my PC. But it does not count any hours played - play time before or after i installed Raptr. Added STO to my Raptr game library manually but does not not count play time either. I'm using the desktop app from the Raptr homepage. Linking with Steam worked without any problem.
Looks like the same bundle we got for switching from Cryptic to PWE accounts, so I would say only on 1 character which is sad. The Del Taco Shuttle was account wide.
Hi, my name is: Elim Garak, Former Cardassian Oppressor

Hmmm. That is indeed sad! What I'm really wanting to be account wide tho' is the Gumato (Mugato) pet! Hopefully that'll be the same as the Shuttle and be account wide!
for some reason i cant get it to link to my facebook, it just says "communicating with facebook" with a never ending loading bar. anyone know how to fix this?

Will try it tomorrow again ...
LTS, here since...when did this game launch again?
No. Not making fun of Cryptic's "Soon(tm)". That's what it says on the site.
The Boff bundle changed its name to Holodeck Bundle - it's now a different link.
Generally, the promotion should start tomorrow, and the rewards will probably be claimable after the patch.
The new name for the pack is "Holodeck Bundle" and it starts "Soon" (From tomorrow until 4th of December)
New link to the offer is - http://raptr.com/rewards/sto-holodeck-bundle
EDIT: One question tho for anyone who might know... Is this going to be a Per Character thing or an unlock for just 1 character on an account?
LTS, here since...when did this game launch again?
Hmmm. That is indeed sad! What I'm really wanting to be account wide tho' is the Gumato (Mugato) pet! Hopefully that'll be the same as the Shuttle and be account wide!
To this day I go out of my way to eat there occasionally, and mention to the cashier and/or manager every time that it's because of that promotion.
EDIT: The pet is Account wide!

Let's continue further discussion about it in the thread linked at the bottom of the blog.
