Great news that an APP for our mobiles is in the works/thinking stages.
What would you like to see in the APP??
Here is my list:
Duty officer management; Start assignments, collect rewards, manage active personel.
Mail access: Send and retrive mails/items
Exchange AND Inventory access: To be able to buy/post/claim items from the exchange.
Fleet holding: See the status of various projects, contribute.
Navigation: Select and area to travel to, so when you log on with the computer later, your ship is at the appropiate location.
Dilithium Exchange: Convert your Zen or Dilithium

Soo true. But why stop there really?? We trekkers are never fully contempt, so throwing everything in at once would be the easiest way
-C-Store Access, like it is on the site now with character select for character services.
-Account Bank access, for easy shifting of items and currency around.
Since we have to log onto each toon separately to sort income from the exchange. I'd prefer having my EC from the Exchange mailed to me, but they disabled EC mailing because of EC sellers.

A Doff app would be the best app. Everything else I can do in-game and would probably be too complicated anyway.
Please make the initial "version 0.1" as basic as possible first. Doffing was the main priority when the community brought up the mobile app idea 6-8 months ago or even earlier.
Anything more complex or requires more server access will likely drag out the development time and cause more potential for bugs/failure.

I imagine it might be kind of like the Mass Effect Datapad app and its ability to influence Galactic Readiness through Doff-like missions.
Given Doffing is more complicated in various ways, the simplest set of features we should go for is:
- Display Doff Reserve Roster, with organization options as in-game
- Display available assignments in personal and current sector (transferring sectors would need to be done in-game)
- Display in-progress assignments and results
- Allow starting of assignments
There's a lot that could prove hard to manage. For example, recruitment missions and managing available inventory/doff slots and so on, but the above is what I want most out of an STO app.

Cmon- lighten up. A borg faction is NEVER gonna happen, but people post about it. A doff app might actually happen- post some ideas about it, will ya?

Maybe an "when online function"...so when you actually playing your phone is updating with stats on dps, damage taken, enemy type killed, loot dropped during match etc.

However, back to topic: being able to organise DOff missions from an app would be great. Technically, it could be tricky in terms of availability of missions, however, but there could perhaps be a whole raft of app-specific missions (shorter duration/lower rewards) tailored specifically for the purpose, that would be sector-independent? That would likely mean that they would be more generic, but many of the existing missions would be adaptable to the system: trade missions, non-nebula-based chains, new missions requiring donation/delivery of resources to planets (ie a DOff version of the current Diplomatic missions), etc.
Just implementing this would be superb; no real need for most of the other requests... although, as several people have said, 'icing on the cake' which could be introduced in further releases.
Ship layouts and builds that each toon currently has.
Captain profiles with the ability to update from the app.
Fleet starbase project completion times etc
It was a joke. I would like to see something where we could access doff missions where our toons currently are (if we had access to other sectors I think it wouldn't be fair to people who fly sector to sector to get their doff assignments). Keep it simple stupid.
1) Doff management
2) Mail access ( would be fine with the way it was on the old forums)
3) Fleet holdings (monitoring at the least).
4) Chat access (even if it is just /tells)
