Silver accounts can now purchase Account Shared Bank slots in the C-store, and Gold accounts can choose to expand beyond their free slots.

    It's a bank you can put things in and then any character you have in the game can take the items out and use them. It's a way to transfer non-bound items to your other alts.
    STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

    I think it's a bank you can access with all of your characters, not just one. That way, you don't have to mail items to swap them between your toons.

    It's a bank that you can access from any character on your account. You put things in it from one account and then you can retrieve them on another.

    I was wondering when the option would become available for silvers to purchase. Very glad to hear we now have it. :D

    Can materials be automatically pulled out of the Account Bank for Crafting/DOff Missions yet?

    Although this does not concern me particularly, I am curious - does the Account Bank for Silver Players come with 500mln EC limit even if their characters don't have the EC Cap increased from 10mln?

    Not meaning to burst the bubble here, but 1000 zen for 10 slots = 100 zen per slot, so thats what $1 per bank slot? Isn't that a bit expensive for a feature that you can use the ingame mail system for for free. (For the record, regular bank slots cost 300 zen for 12 slots).

    There must have been an inflation somewhere the last weeks ... 1K Zen for 10 Slots ... phew ...

    I really considered buying 30-40 slots, to have MKII-X gear at hand for leveling new toons. But at that price, I will just stay with my 20 slots and be happy :)

    One more reason to subscribe for one month. But still no reason to continue afterwards, what about adding 5 slots per month (up to 80 or something, would mean subscribe a year for full benefit)?

    This is awesome and all, but 1000 Zen for only 10 more slots? Man, I'm glad Champions Online also included slots as part of their Vet rewards.

    Yeah talk about hi-way robbery prices... dang. I was willing to throw money at you, but that doesn't mean I will for a bad deal... too little for too much.

    Especially since gear already bound to char, that would be bound to account after this patch is not getting "retro bound to account" I'll just deal with the 20 I have.

    May sound silly, but do we know yet if our MACO or OMEGA Sets can be put in the shared Bank at all??

    Man, these guys aren't even trying to hide the price-gouging anymore, are they?

    First it was the 700 point "1 character use" EV suits. Now we have;

    1000 points, gives 10 account bank slots

    vs

    400 points, gives 12 inventory slots (character specific)

    I realize the account bank slots, allows access to additional space shared across all characters. But your still charging MORE THAN DOUBLE the cost, for less slots.

    Wanted to add: a Max of 40 slots in STO? I have more than that in CO just from the Vet reward... why the limit when it's the SAME ENGINE?

    Yup, I've got 2 Purple Mk XII Directed Energy Distribution Manifolds that are worthless space junk now. They used to provide bonus to all energy damage then a patch made them only give bonus to beams, but since I don't use beams on this char they are now bound to this char and worthless to me. If it had been retro bind to account I could at least use them on someone else. :(

    Can we please craft & donate to Starbases directly from the Account Bank, as we already can from the Character Bank?

    Here is a wacky thought, if people don't buy it they will lower the price. However given the evidence of people willing to gamble on lock boxes and buy overpriced EV suits I have no doubt many will spend the zen. They won't get my zen for this one.

    Price is too high for something so legitimately small. Half the price, double the slots, then the non-******* will buy it. 10 dollars for 10 slots is stupid, especially when 15 gets you the 1 month subscription, 20 slots, and all the other perks that go with it.

    Could anyone please tell me how to enable the extra slots for Gold Members? I was unable to find it ig. I only see the Zen-Version...

    If you are Gold, they are directly accessible, just go to your bank and select "account bank". You get 20 Slots to use for free.

    It seems that I misunderstood the news. I thought I get extra bonus slots. So Silvers are now able to use the account bank as well? They didn't have access to it before?

    I already got 20 slots weeks ago. I thought any player gets 20 for free, silvers can buy 10 more and golds get them for free.

    Silvers who had a sub in the past had access. Today's patch enabled other silvers to buy access. If you are Gold/LTS you have 20 slots and can buy up to 20 more for zen, at 1000 zen per 10 extra slots.

    Is there any plans to change things that are already bound to be account bound retroactively? There are items that are not bound that have been changed to an account bind on equip but if the item was already bound it still is bound per character.

    Edit. I am mainly asking due to EDC/salvage/tech. If this is not possible can you make the stuff in the stf store "Account Bind on Pickup".

    This seems kinda unfair. 10 usd for 10 shared account bank slots? Though that is only one dollar a slot, the fact reminds that it's kinda silly, as well as a ripoff for Gold members. If it was 500 zen/5 usd, I wouldn't see that much of a problem, cause 5 usd would seem more fair. Besides, it still seems silly and a waste of money when players can just mail items to themselves, and leave the mail sit so it is accounted linked, in a way.

    99% of the stuffs in game are charater locked so why would anyone need more than 20 slots?

    I still hope we will see stuffs we can use in that store like retrait token or a good UI (yes Id buy my own UI just to play KDF)
