When i try to sign into Star Trek Online, it says "Invalid username or password" its not invalid. I tried about 15 times, each time making sure i put in the correct information. and it is correct. This is starting to get very frustrating. and its only been like this since after the servers were down. whats going on?
If its a Cryptic Account, you might be having same problem I am - posted this in Gameplay Bugs, but I suppose this forum might have been better:
Following todays's maintenance, I am no longer able to login on most of the Cryptic Accounts I have (note that these accounts are NOT linked to a PWE acount), but I can still login to the STO site using them without problem.
I have occasionally been able to get one or two of them to log in successfully, but if I log out most of the time it will not let me back in with the same details. Sometimes if I log in on the STO site and try using the same details it will let me in game, but not always.
According to my account details on the site, everything appears normal and all of my Zen still apeears to be in place, and the few times I've got ingame have not shown anything missing, so I think its reasonable to assume I've not been TRIBBLE - I've not had any Account Guard notices to indicate any unauthorised access attempts either.
So, I assume the problem lies with the Account Server?
(I'm using a PWE account I'd set up ready to test linking to post this)
IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT LOGGING IN WITH YOUR CRYPTIC ACCOUNT
We are aware of an issue where Cryptic Account Names are now case-sensitive. If you are experiencing difficulty logging into the game with your Cryptic Account, you can retrieve your case-sensitive Cryptic account name by:
1) Navigating to the following URL https://secure.crypticstudios.com/default/forgot_account
2) Submit the valid email address associated with your Cryptic account
3) Login to your email, and find the email that was sent to you, and use the Account name as it is displayed in that email. That will have the proper case.
Take Note: Perfect World account names are not affected, so if you're using a Perfect World account to login, you don't need to do anything different.
We are working on a fix for this, and hope to have the problem addressed soon. We apologize for any inconvenience. If you have any questions or need assistance, please visit https://support.crypticstudios.com or contact Customer Support directly at customerservice@perfectworld.com.
I've noticed that after I play and log out that the next time I start the game my login name is missing and it will not let me log in. I have to restart my computer before the game will have my login name autopopulate and let me log in. What is up with that???

Get more RAM!!!! ;p
Anyway the client has to catch up, and from what Ive seem some ppl stretch their steam to the limit, yeah the client will lag with that.

You are logging in your your username and not your display name, right?
It seems to be a common problem and I don;t recall much help coming from support on it I;m afraid.
