Actually, this point deserves a lot of acknowledgement! More than it's been given so far in this thread!

The work that has gone into these suits is remarkable! The Art Team couldn't have done better! Major Kudos to the team who came up with there final design! They really are beautiful pieces of art and I just wish that PWE had have given them the respect that they deserved by not overpricing them like they have done.

On this point, they haven't only let us players down by the pricing and one character per purchase thing, but they've also let down their design team more so. It's a shame, it really is! :(

Oh yeah, Highison and his minions are a team of ultimate costume badasses, you can see this in basically everything character outfit-wise released since the game's launch. And damnit, they deserve to be told as much on a daily basis, because they really are one of the few entities to consistently churn out steaming piles of win.

That's why it upsets me so bad that these things are overpriced to the point of being not worth purchasing.

I've been boycotting the C-store for a while now, this has just made me even more happy about my boycott (and is even making me thinking of quitting entirely).

Edit:- Kudos to the design team, the model itself looks awesome, shame that all thier effort is getting lost to al the negative feedback due to the stupid marketing team.

If you don't like the price, don't buy it.
If you are upset they "hid" the fact it is per character, then read the description next time.

You alone are fully responsible for where your money goes. If Cryptic sees there is no money coming from this, they'll adjust it.

These EV suits are cosmetic. I have beaten all of the Tholian invasion missions with the free EV suit we got during the Dominion mission. These are not required to win or do well. If you chose to spend money on them, that is your business. But there is no reason to get upset over a small piece of fluff.

    Vote with your wallet.

Very insightful. 53 posts prior to yours, all stating in unison: HELL NO, WE WON'T BUY!

This has got to be the first time, any new "C-Store" item has been given so much negative response, with not a single POSITIVE response, until yours. And all your post said is basically "I support Cryptic, even thou they do stupid **** again and again"

No, all my post said was if no one buys it, they'll adjust the price. In fact, I agreed with everyone else in explaining why the new EV suits aren't worth buying.

Just because I didn't say "F#^% Cryptic!" doesn't mean I agree with this decision.

It's just there are more important things to worry about than an overpriced EV suit no one will buy.

Just think about your poor security teams - they bought an EV suit for so many Zens, and they usually die in seconds. How about their children? :D

I have to agree with the other posters, 700 Zen for ONE toon?!? Too steep! Cryptic, please give it to us for 550 Zen account-wide and you'll make a nice profit.

Hmm, this makes me wonder...are the rumors true? Are the developers at STO actually...Ferengi? :D

A bit too steep for a per toon for me.

....though I won't nerd rage about it. It is only a vanity item.

So, can someone fill me in on the current exchange price for these things? I'm rather curious as to just how extortionate the going rate is.

I'm starting to feel like Cryptic's definition of "feedback" is the same one that musicians are accustomed to: Very quickly block your ears and turn the volume down on the thing making the noise.

...That is only reasonable explanation I can think of why all this 'feedback' is falling on such deaf ears. All we've received is a proverbial "No Comment."

I love the design of these suits, I really do.

But 700 Zen per character is just insane. Who thought this would be a good idea?

I could accept 700 Zen for ACCOUNT wide unlock, but per char? No.

I think somewhere between 300-500 zen would be much more in the right direction for per char unlock.

I want a suit, but the one from the Tholian missions will serve me just as well, and that one is FREE

This item is grossly overpriced. You will get no money from me on this one for sure. Try again.

My guild was just talking about when these were going to be added to the game. We all figured C-store, and we were fine with that. But not at $7 for ONE character. Account unlock, sure. I'm going to have to join everyone and say NO to this one.

No more real money for these suits . . . but I'll spend my leftover c-points and some dilithium for these, definitely. :P Awesome! I really can't wait to fight in these! (and, no, I don't work for PW!)

The Environmental Suits you've been waiting for are here! Not only will these suits will keep you safe in the vacuum of space, but they have been upgraded to provide resistance against most damage types. Pick one up from the C-Store today.

I am a fanatic of Star Trek and I am charmed with the STO ... but I am not any idiot 7 dollars to become exhausted in a bilge as this one.

A suggestion finnal for PW: It is much better to receive 12 monthly dollars for the game and this way they can give us EVERYTHING what happens to them.

If to someone it exceeds the money him, since that buys it him. My response is NOT to this.

    Greetings.

P.D.: To seeing if now they do not eliminate again my opinion for requesting that they translate the STO into the Spanish language... ok?

Very beautifully done, sadly it's a price and I can easily refuse. As stated many times before me in the 9 or so pages of comments...700zen for an account unlock I could go with. Not going to pay that much per character.

I really like the suit's but seriously think about it? I've been here since beta I've unlocked slot's and got 1-2 rewarded so I have 11 characters. So in order to get the suit for each one will cost me $77? So I decide to use my stipend on them that's 7700 points or 3+ ships? Even then at using my stipend it'll take me 1yr and 6months to get it for all my characters.

hehe per Character @ 700z = $7 = good luck with that, at least they're not in a Lock Box

They're just not for me. At 24 Characters any "character only" unlock is a "Not now Not EVER"

700z For a Account Unlock maybe, but doubtful

hehe... Must be a PW employee in disguise.

Add my no to the list. I spend real money on a lot of things in this game, but not this.
