interesting, I read somewhere in the world they were making a new nuclear rector designed for spacecrafts, e.g. Project Prometheus I think it was called and that is was really just taking of from another project stared back in the 50s 60s.

Project Prometheus was dead simple; drop a nuke out the back, detonate it, and ride the shockwave.

Cold fusion does not yet exist (and may never exist). Every instance of claimed Cold fusion has been thoroughly debunked (a couple of rare instances did generate a slight bit more energy than put in, that can't be explained, but no where near enough to prove "fusion" and are likely the cause of some as of yet unknown process unrelated to fusion).

Right now the best chance at achieving fusion in a sustainable reaction is the National Ignition Facility (NIF) project which uses a 500 trillion watt laser (for those keeping track in the fraction of a second that the laser fires it has more energy than 1000x the amount used by the entire US in that same amount of time) to (hopefully) ignite fusion within a hydrogen isotope filled capsule.

It is widely viewed as not possible for an electrochemical force to overcome the intense repulsive effect of two nuclei moving towards each other (required for fusion). Simply put not a single instance of claimed cold fusion has stood up to scrutiny.

That would be the 1950s Project Orion.

Project Prometheus was the program to create nuclear reactors for spaceflight:

Apprantly in this article even though yes its from wikipedia, that the SAFE-400 is a space based nuclear reactor which produces 400kw of electricity. This would be perfect fo such ion engines as VASIMR or PIT or the one Deep Space One used.

Would anyone like a cold Fusion? I have every flavor but Peach Mango and *looks in back* all out of Pomegranate Blueberry too it appears.

That is a more conventional uranium based reactor, not cold fusion, which means it has much more significant fuel supply issues.
