Finally had a chance to test the Aceton Assimilator again a couple of times.

I tested the Aceton Assimilator against another fleet mate that had no points in Power Insulators (accept from some equipments).

It drained -13 from all of his subsystems and then was capped (about half of what the drain is supposed to do). Adding a second Aceton Assimilator did nothing (except more radiation damage).

When I tested it again with both the first and second fleet mates, with points in Power Insulators for the former and none for the latter, at the same time, the results were the same as previous tests.

    That is to say:
    1) The fleet mate with Power Insulator was able to 100% resist the Aceton Assimilator drain.
    2) The fleet mate with no Power Insulators was able to resist 50% of the Aceton Assimialator or there is a cap on how much the subsystem can be drained. Also, the assimilator does not stack (not sure if that applies to 2 assimilators from the same player, or 2 assimilators from 2 players).

To my knowledge, there are no other drain abilities that are resisted 100% with Power Insulators. This doesn't seem correct to me. Especially for a c-store item.

The friend that has no points in PI, is he using any equipment that grants skills to PI?

Omega or Borg Deflector for example.

I believe he has the Omega Force Deflector. Still, that's +18 to Power Insulators. If +99 from max PI is resisting 100%, +18 shouldn't be cutting the drain by 50%.

the drain might be getting cut at les than that though.

Best way would be to re-test with him running all MK1 white stuff from the shipyard, (it's about 10K EC's worth of stuff cheap enough). that way there's no possobillity of gear interferance. Again if you want to get with me feel free.

ANyone got any tips for getting the challange mode map change working btw? Been wanting to do some tests on some other stuff but not been able to as i can't start a space challange between two people.

Well, to my knowledge +99 shouldn't be resisting 100% either, so that really doesn't sound like it's working as intended to begin with.

My fleet mate figured out that you have to spam the Enter key or something like that. I would have to ask him again.

When we test again, I will have him unequip his deflector, which should put his Power Insulators to 0.
