    That line of thought brings us to the idea, that you can only find out what the Big Red Button does, by pushing it.

    Could you imagine how terribly frightening it would be to watch a hydrogen-based ball of mass/accretionary disc get so massive it collapsed inward and started consuming itself, smashing atoms together to form helium? Of course you'd have to be Q to actually /watch/ it considering everything nearby'd get obliterated and everything far off wouldn't get the light quickly enough to observe it happening...
