Today I bought a rename token, got a "Transaction successful" message on the screen. I signed out and the "Rename" button was not enabled. (Completely close game, re-signed in, same thing). I thought maybe it didn't complete, so I purchased a second rename token. Again, signed out, back in, still no rename token. I can confirm that 400 Cryptic Points were deducted both times (total of 800 points). I put in a ticket, #1035479.

At least for the next 6 1/2 hours until they close. They're open 7 days a week, but not 24 hours a day.
