That bike has five engine mount bolts and I was down to only the two on the right hand side. My mechanic was able to replace the two on the left front but he did not have the hardware on hand to replace the main mount, (that controls torsion), at the back. The hardware is now on order and all I have to do is be a little gentle and check the left mounts every once in a while to make sure they do not back out again till the hardware comes in.
Still a cheap fix so I put the right length shocks on the rear as well. Higher center of gravity on a bike means more flick-ability in the steering, and less ground up boot toes in the corners. I'm gonna kill me some chicken strips next.
500 more dollars, (120 for an electronics module to get the turn signal indicators back and 360 for a full service with all fluids flushed and changed, carburetors synched and valves re-lashed), and she will be back, more or less, to factory spec. Peace of mind while on a ride... Priceless.
