D'Kyr Science Vessel

Can someone please tell me what this is? I ask because that's the last name of a character I invented for a Star Trek fic a couple years ago and still use, and is the Science Officer aboard my ship in STO.

Please Note: I'm not at all trying to cause any problem or request it be renamed. In fact, I think it's kinda cool and may incorporate it into a story or something, but I'd like to know.

    It is a Vulcan ship. *points at the banner up top* That Vulcan Ship.

    D'Kyr was the Vulcan who invented the Vulcan nerve pinch. The ship was named after him.

    Ahh okay. Thank you. I didn't realize that, actually. I've never written too much about Vulcans and I admit, I still haven't watched all of Enterprise. Weird that I'd come up with a name like that. D'Kyr vs. d'Kyr(mine)... Odd coincidence. Thank you for the info.

    No, not at all. I was just curious where the name came from. Thought it was an odd coincidence, but I didn't realize it had been used in canon trek at some point.
