NX-01 Enterprise: a few things I wish we'd seen

I'm actually very happy with my Enterprise pack purchase -- the uniforms are nice and I love the ship, and in the end that's all I could ask (well, a beagle would have been nice, but I digress).

However, there are a couple of touches I wish we'd seen in the NX-01 -- things that I think would have improved the ship buying experience. In no particular order:

A Mirror Universe I.S.S. Enterprise Paint Job: After all these months of ships and their paint jobs, we finally -- finally have a ship that had a canonical paint job on it -- the yellow lightning/fire pattern on the top of the saucer of the ship (This is a good picture of what I mean. I really expected at least one of the standard paint jobs to look like that -- they had to be designed for the NX-01 anyway, right? So, it was disappointing to not really see one.

Spatial Torpedoes and Phase Cannons: The NX-01 started off with just one weapon -- the spatial torpedoes, which could be fired fore and aft. They later added phase cannons, which were much more powerful than spatial torpedoes. I would have liked to have seen this sort of thing reflected, especially since it's an interesting inversion of the usual paradigm. Ideally, I'd like to have seen one spatial torpedo launcher mounted fore and a second aft, but in practice have them act more like turrets, putting out a stream of moderately low damage at all sides, perhaps using a dark purple turret blast effect to represent the darker missile. The Phase Cannons would be specced similarly to Dual Heavy Cannons, but with the Dual Beam Array special effect (a bit more pinkish-orange than the usual red) used instead of the cannon blasts. This would give the NX-01 the 'Escort punch' while reflecting the reversed dynamic of their weapons.

No "U,S.S." on the hull of the ship: I know there's no way we can have an NX-two digit registry number on our NX class ships (I'm glad I have the NX prefix, though), but it was a touch disappointing that the ship name of my ship (the Discovery) was "U.S.S. Discovery" instead of just "Discovery." While the Mirror Universe did use the 'U.S.S.' prefix, the Pre-Federation Starfleet did not.

There are other things that would have been cool (a Shuttlepod pet, say, or a freakin' beagle!), but they'd have taken significant time and resources. The above wouldn't have been too hard to pull off (the paint jobs had to be designed for the ship anyway -- the same with the name of the ship being centered on the dish, and the special effects for spatial torpedoes and phase cannons could have largely been pulled from existing media. So, while my core feedback is 'great ship and great pack!' I felt I should mention the stuff I wish I'd seen.

Does it have shields? I seem to remember the original NX didn't have shields...

Perhaps this is the NX as it was after it's systems were upgraded.

It's not actually the NX. It's a replica; meaning it's a modern ship made to resemble the NX.

It does have shields, though I actually gave my science officer Polarize Hull Plating, essentially for the fun of it. ;)
