So my fellow KDF players, anyone seen the 200 day award veteran jacket ? If you se it let me know.
I guessing we will maybe get it when feds get they're 400 dayd jacket. And in the meanwhile feds get more uniforms in the C store.Btw just wondering how many uniforms have the feds now in C store and how many have been made for the KDF...Your doing a good job Cryptic...

I'm hoping to see the 200-day vet jacket arrive with the 300-day rewards.

They said it should ship the 2nd of December. Of course, I've been one to argue for alot more faction agnostic clothing options, after all, clothes should be easy to replicate via the replicator, and not far to get your hands on.

    Yet another Divine Revelation...
The Feds have stuff the Klingons don't...
It has always been that way...
It will probably always be that way...
Because Star Trek was that way...
Don't like it, but almost have to accept it or move on.

there's another clothing option I wont use...was hoping for a jacket or something, still not fond of the klingon armor/uniform options. Wish the nausican and orion uniforms would open up in the alien gen.

It's a simple question, and who is digging up what? This is in the engineering report. Are we getting crappy shoulder pads and a cloak or the dahlmer jacket we asked for several months ago (the one that is already ingame on NPCs)

No this is not a eng report this is a topic about a jaket that was talked about when the dam things came out the first time.

What are you talking about? I don't recall you in the countless discussions about the reward. We argued for the nice coat that I link a picture to. Since it was ingame already and stuff. I think your in an expanse somewhere and not processing my posts.

Suggestion: Re-read my prior post. It asks which we are getting.... As the Eng report (just released) says shoulder pads and cloak while months ago when we argued, it was for the KLINGON DAHLMER(sorry sp) JACKET.

Yeah, when I saw that it was just a cloak and shoulderpads I couldn't believe it. I, along with probably all of the KDF players, thought that it would be the cool coat. Instead, we get something that few of us would probably use.

Didn't Dstahl say that when we get the jacket we better wear it...so that the development time wouldn't be for naught? I'll hazard a guess it was too difficult and time consuming to make the jacket.

Not being an artist I don't know about that, but I do know that I will put the cloak and shoulders on my Gorn captain so I can have a space lizard with a cape. :)

And since we aren't getting the jacket, I guess that means we don't have to wear it.

I'm more worried about the fact that the Cloak is attached to a specific pair of shoulder pads, meaning if you think the shoulder pads they use look stupid you get no reward (and for the record I think all the cryptic designs so far in the whole game look stupid).

Matt's team usually does a great job with costumes if they are given enough time to work on them.

I'm hoping the cloak's flow animation isn't bad like the attachments to formal wear dresses.

It's the same thing that feds have to live w/. Many were hoping that the 200 day reward jacket would be the one from VOY: End game aka TNG: All good things but instead we got something else. Then there were those that liked the jacket but hated the gold accents that can't be edited in any way shape or form. Personally I'm not complaining, I love the jacket and when it was released I was thrilled. I'm kind of exited to see what the devs come up w/ for the Klingon's 200 day reward. For some reason when I heard the description I pictured some sort of Viking type cape w/ fur and stuff.
I'm curious though. What is the Klingons 100 day badge? Feds got one called "Alternate Future" but I haven't seen one for Klingons.

I have to agree w/ u 100% here. The character and ship depts rock when given time to do their thing.

Really? I have never used a single cryptic designed ship or uniform when there has been a choice (obviously before the T5 Intrepid there was no choice for science ships). It really gets me angry every time they add a new design of their own, rather than all the great designs we have seen in the series (all the TNG era Admirals uniforms were really good, as was the newer TNG movies version that Ross wore).

I don't know anything about the stages involved in designing a new uniform and getting it in game, but surely it must be quicker/easier to make one that existed in canon than design one from scratch?

Of course there was a choice for T5 science, the Luna class wasn't a Cryptic design. I can't imagine why in the world it would get you angry though. For starters all the great designs from the series are over 30 years old by this point in the time line. It stands to reason that by now Starfleet would have designed a whole bunch of new ships.
Secondly, this is Cryptics game. It stands to reason that they would have some creative freedom in adding new ships into the game. I know the Cryptic ships and some of the costume designs are not everyone's cup of tea, especially from the die hard purist fans of the shows and the RPers POV but I personally LOVE all the ships and costumes in game. I'm a sucker for variety in most cases.

I really don't think people play this game to play ships that were never in any of the movies or series, people want the cool ships they have seen. Which explains why there is a demand for all those "old" ships. People don't care how old they are, they want them. Its not our fault the game was set so far forward.

Anyway, lets agree to disagree and drop it before we get the thread too far f track.

I see far more of the canon ships being flown, and far more of the canon fed uniforms being worn, than any of the cryptic-designed ones. So I think that speaks a 1000 words.

But this isn't really a matter of whether or not the cyrptic design will be good. This is a matter of pretty much the entire KDF community (that are vocal on the forums) asking for the one specific jacket to be added and, time and time again, every chance Cryptic have had to add it they throw something else at us that we simply have not asked for.

I hope the cloak will be cool, I hope these shoulder pads won't be stupid over the top like some of the male pads already in-game, and sure if it looks good I may consider wearing it - but it doesn't change the fact that, from what little we have been told so far, it simply is not what we have asked for.

If you go to MacDonalds and order a big mac with fries you expect to get a big mac with fries. If they instead turn round and offer you a BK whopper meal then you have reason to complain - even though that whopper meal might well be more tastey than the big mac.

In regards to feds asking for a specific jacket and not getting what they asked for - there was a reason for that and they told that reason at the time - the majority of what was being asked for was already on the schedule to be added to the C-Store. The same can't be said for the KDF jacket that the KDF community are asking for because cryptic have already made it abundantly clear that, besides the new veteran reward cloak and besides updates to the Gorn, there isn't going to be any new KDF clothing.

I tell you what, if it looks absolutely stupid, I shall not wear it...I would love the chance to get a dahar master...aka pimp coat for my KDF toons, but if I all of a sudden see that this cloak makes me look more like Super Klink who should be running around in tights, able to leap targs and feds in a singe bound, and have special powers...etc, etc, etc...(you get the point here)....I SHALL NOT wear it !!!!!!!!!

They better think carefully what it looks like before they submit it...They better make sure it works with ALL body types with the LEAST amount of clipping...The last thing we need is to have them add a stupid cape that makes us look like we belong in City of Heroes/Villains...that clips with the simplest movement and all body types...

Make sure you check it on tall, big chested KDF men, and short KDF women...lol...I would hate to have to grr again at Cryptic...When I grr...somewhere...a bunny rabbit dies....lol...I sure hope that the devs could post a concept of what they are working on...you don't have to show us exactly what it looks like now, but a concept...release it and put it in the gallery...or whatever....but do EEET NOW!!!! lol.....

    LOL LTR!

well, let us hope they do a good job with the cape, thinking about it, I do believe there were some episodes that Klingons wore a specific cape, was held back away from them by the shoulder pads, if I remember correctly there were some cool looking shoulderpads too, like blades sticking out, close to the orion 3 tier point but curled upwards a bit more, sharper point.

dern what freaking episode was that..... *rumages*

anyhow when I find the dern thing, let us all hope and wait with anticipation that it will indeed be a great thing to have ;). Course Wife already told me she wont like it... of course I did hte man thing and asked why... I quote "Simple Dear, it would hide my toons nice legs."

    oh... ok.. right... *facepalm*

Hmm, I think Kruge's vest/coat is a simple yet elegant example how it might look with the help of the shoulderpads and in part by the collar, even though the pads are not very prominent on this version of the Klingon uniform:

Holy TRIBBLE. Really? What a way to take a dump on all the work that's been done so far. You couldn't just say, "I didn't care for the way they looked, and so far I haven't been happy with the styles offered." The forums is filled with hateful comments, but this one just seems excessively rude.

I have thought of this...but I do not think that is what he was talking about. This one is more of the dahar master coat, and cloaks worn by high council members. I would like to see what he was talking about in those episodes...find us a picture, and we'll compare it to anything cryptic has...when and if they bother to put up some concept art...

Kruge's robe is a standard robe that any Klingon Captain wears. The majority of Klingon ship captains in TNG are seen to be wearing them, including Worf when he pretends to be Captain of the Enterprise.

A similar or identical robe *IS* worn by council members, and is even worn by Picard during his functions within the High Council, though there may be differences in the emblems which denote a different function.

Worf wears another version of this during his wedding ritual.

All of these robes seem to generaly get referred too as "honour robes" which makes it a little confusing as to whether there is much difference and when they should be worn.

Either way, these robes aren't actually in-game. The coats NPC's wear are very similar, but not quite the same.

I really hope that this does look something like the honour robe and that it doesn't just look like a superman cloak as others have said.

I'm hoping this extends to exchange officers so I can promote my space lizard with a cape to command a Federation ship. Just let him have a more appropriate combadge. :-)
