Actually, one thing I have noticed is the unusual quiet which has permeated the forum boards recently.
Call me a conspiracy theorist if you like, but the amount of threads getting Developer answers has dropped off significantly, and to me, it seems the level of communication between the devs and us has dropped off as well. Dropped off alot actually.
So if even the Feds aren't getting answers to their questions, then the KDF certainly won't be getting answers either.
Something is afoot. I don't know what it is, and I can't explain why I feel that way, but in the tradition of mariners dating back hundreds of years, it just might be time to batten down the hatches boys. I think a storm is coming, and it's gonna be ugly. I don't know when it gets here, or how bad it's gonna be, but I feel a change in the wind, and it may not be for the better.
Aye, change in the wind says I.....It seems to me that we have dropped off communication because we are just plain FED UP with excuses, nonsensical replies regarding words such as "cool powers" and "soon" in regards to what the ships will do and when they will arrive. I for one will be glad a storm is coming...Perhaps enough people will pull their heads out of the sand and listen to what's going on...or what's NOT going on.
There is another marine convention that my Dad taught me. As long as everyone complains everything is OK. It's when the crew stops complaining that you have to watch your back.
That we care enough to complain is evidence we still care about the direction STO takes. Dev silence is no indicator of a bad wind this way comes. It could mean that something awesome is on the works and silence is used to protect that novelty.
Still if nothing is accomplished in the near future there will be an uproar. Not that I have the power to sway fellow players and forumites, but with regards to myself I already promised this to DStahl. After wards there could be the silence of bled off players. This is the very last thing that I want.
To me the delay on the KDF ships is not a sign that we are resented or lied to, but that more work is needed to get them right, to balance them and to make sure their specials are just that, special and not a gimmick. I just hope we get them soon because Fed premades are brutal right now and even Fed PUGs are difficult. As it stands teamwork is the only way to win, (due to the tech gap between the factions), and newer KDF players are less inclined to team, end game PvP has become an exercise in frustration.
By the way they have not fully rigged for silent running...
