Just wondering what had happened to the C-Store updates???? Thought there were more??? And there is NO "Nebula Class"???? What has happened? More setbacks?
The Nebula has been pushed back a couple weeks. They promised us that we can test it out on Tribble...not sure when, though. They replaced the Nebula with the test Tribbles for this week's release.
Because that's what you want...if you can't have a Nebula class starship you automatically want a borgified or infected tribble...Cryptic instead of pulling a 'smoke and mirrors' routine - (You, the consumer) "Hey, where's the Nebula? It's supposed to be in-game by now" (Cryptic) "INTRODUCING THE NEW AND REALLY AWESOME BORG AND UNDINE TRIBBLES! YAAAAAAAY! WOOOOOOT!" - how about a post both on the forum and in game explaining as to why there has been a delay.
If your stocks dropped, I'm sure you wouldn't waste time telling your investors the reason why. We, the consumer - who gives you money in return for endless hours of sci fi fun - are like investors. When things are delayed, we have a right to know the reason why it is so. So get a Cryptic PR guy in to earn his money for the day by posting an official response as to the reason behind the "can't produce the goods" Nebula class.
i believe it was held back guys cause some people complained about the looks they might be improving it abit and tell u the truth i like it that way ill wait a month for something if it needs to be improved to be better:D

Dude, honestly, use a little common sense. The tribbles were done and without errors and so were released. The Nebula has problems that still need fixing and has been held back. I get you're upset because you wanted your Nebula but did you want it broken and unusable?
Simply check out the Dev Tracker. Dstahl's made a couple of different posts about it.
What you heard on the podcast was purely speculation. If you're referring to STOked, they said as much.
Although the points I'm about to make are also purely speculation, they are derived from developer posts that are actually related to the topic. Consider what DStahl has already told us.
These issues seem FAR more likely the cause of the delay than CBS sticking their fingers in and meddling with the ship's development this close to release. CBS is more likely to provide meaningful input during the approval, initial concept, and early development phases, not when the item is about to be publicly tested.
I'd much rather have a working ship on release, then something that isn't up to the quality standards of the rest of the game, wouldn't you ? Even when it was delayed, DSthal was pushing for us to still have a chance to try it out on the Tribble as soon as possible..
Note, that I backed up my comments and speculation with official communication from cryptic on this specific issue, and not a generalized quote from a State of the Game announcement. Now, I really enjoy watching STOked, but considering the info I've cited and provided links for, which do you think is more likely ? Also, to the boys at STOked credit, they filmed that episode around the 19th, so they wouldn't have had access to *some* of the information I've linked.

Would like to thank you for that post, I've been trying to find the details on why it was delayed but because their was no official thread made on it and these answers are all over the place it amde it rather tedious!

If you check the Dev Tracker every day you can usually easily see what the Devs are saying about a particular issue. Checking the Dev Tracker is the first thing I do when I come to the forum each day.
As for the delay in the Nebula, Dstahl stated it had to do with the fact that the code in the Nebula was part of a new code string that hasn't yet been introduced into the game. If the Nebula didn't use the new code string it could have been introduced already.

1. The VERY recently, due to massive fan requests, changed the ship from a Cruiser to a Science ship.
---Initial Draft for the ship as a Cruiser
---Current known draft as a science vessel: T3 (ignore the T5, it has typos)
---Currently known science vessel T5 draft
2. The ship is still a little buggy (understandable, since it is a brand new ship, and also has a new skill that no other ship has). Source cited in next point.
3. QA hasn't approved it yet. Linky

To Summarize (with links):
1. Nebula Delayed at least till sometime in October. Ideally.
2. Hopefully testable this week on Tribble. *crosses fingers*
3. STOked is still awesome, but sometimes may jump to odd conclusions
4. Nebula coming Soon
