Damn, you're right, the issue still persists with the normal Bat'leths.
The Shard Sword of Kahless (the mission reward), however, remains in your hands when drawn. As it should be for all melee weapons. As it was early in the game.

Weird.
On the topic of the Kahless sword, is it just me or is the holding animation for it all messed up?
Also, I'd like the various Kling clothes sharable between all the KDF. For example, why can't any KDF female wear the Orion outfits?
And can we get some more colors in the Tailor? I know Klings are a dour/serious race, but why must I stick to the same muted pallet for an Orion or an Alien KDF?
Agreed, or at the very least open the clothing options to alien...I mean they're alien and already wearing a different species clothing (klingon) why not open it up to nausican/orion/whatever. The limited colour range isn't much fun either, even if it's only the off duty slot (since seriously there's no off duty clothes anyway) that gets to use purple/green, etc
that is a personal bone of Contention. When i make an alien i want to make them dress different as well. I see plenty of options for clothing set as "X" or "Y" race only. Why Can't custom aliens use these to help make outfits that are truely their own?

That would be a great thing to see. I know the Devs have said something about some of these costume pieces not working with some of the species models, but I agree some level of mixing and matching (especially for custom species) would be great.
But then you'd have to open up all clothing options to all races. Because otherwise people will just use the Alien generator to create a Klingon in Orion skirts and stuff. Whilst I can see the appeal in that (:p) I do believe that it is more feasible to remove any and all restrictions altogether before making the Alien Species the go-to place for circumventing faction clothing limits.
That being said, I also think Duty and Off-Duty for Feds should be merged into one category, but that is another topic.
1. K't'inga end game refit
2. An accurate k't'inga bridge ala its appearance in ST:TMP
3. Missing TOS uniform pieces, pants and boots specifically.
4. The klingon vestments/"officer coat" as mentioned above (preferably as an unlockable item at lt. general)
5. Some canon klingon small arms at end game. They seem to be nowhere in game at all.
Is there anything in this post or others about the bugs with data samples in Klingon exploration missions? Doing T'Ong now and constantly seeing multiple anomalies hidden by features of terrain. It also appears that they don't disappear from the scanner after I do find a sample successfully.
A K'tinga retrofit, More options for customization, the ability to go to more sectors (with some open PVP please), more Klingon-only missions, More ship skins (I applaud the man who has made the recent klingon skins, they look very, well, klingon)
Updated... I included all of the possible melee weapons, personally I only want to see the D'k tahg and the Mek'leth, though it would be nice to have the Nausicaan sword for Nausicaan characters too.
In regards to showing the melee weapons on the characters, this can be done in CO in the "back" options for the costumes. Maybe this can be done for Klingons?
And why long skirts some ladies might like some short ones too. Maybe if you had better clothing on the kling side it would be more fun to play.
Yea some like the pants or long skirts but some like short skirts so give us the option not just to the orions .

I'm really not sure if I want to see the KDF look as TRIBBLE as Starfleet. When I look at ESD I'm rather happy we don't have short skirts. The canon(!) option to choose between pants or long skirts would make me very happy though.

short skirts on a lady does not make her TRIBBLE. Just because she wears a short skirt doesn't mean she's stupid or helpless. If you think that then there is something very wrong with your thinking.

It does in Star Trek. The only time we've seen girls in skirts was when they were stupid or helpless, aka the bridge bunnies from TOS or Emo-Troi from the 1st season of TNG (when Tasha already had pants). And frankly, what I see on how player characters dress in ESD evokes the same feeling.
This has nothing to do with real life (where I like short skirts), this is about capturing the look and feel of Star Trek - and perhaps even more importantly, the look and feel of the individual cultures. And the way Klingons dress is quite simply very established and doesn't leave a lot of room for speculation.
Klingons are very open-minded when it comes to sexuality, they're even perfectly comfortable fighting naked when catched off-guard, yet they do have their own fashion which is distinctively different from modern western world Human one. This includes the way they make and wear skirts.
If a short skirt would have to be an option, it should surely look very different than the soft cloth worn by Slutfl... err, I mean Starfleet. It would be knee-long, made of rough leather and perhaps plated with metal. Maybe something like what this guy is wearing. I'd be cool with that.

well we have differnet opions and i disagree with you on the short skirt but to continue this is pointless.

It would be sweet if the factions would differ a little more in terms of abilities, anyways. Would make for an even more unique gameplay experience.
PS: the "Worf's Jacket" link leads to the wrong image
including the little smokey bits.
Finally we can display our Bat'leths proudly once more!
Is this after patch, or on Tribble?
Because as of Wednesday, my Bat'leth was still disappearing once I stood down from Red Alert, and doesn't display when I "unholster" my weapon.
I'll try again after my next log-on. Have you tried a normal Bat'leth or the Shard Sword?
I was carrying a Common MK IV Bat'leth. I had the same result with my Uncommon MK IV Bat'leth as well.

If you liked though, you might be interested in this post that I made 6 months ago, and another that I made last week in the tribble forums

Proposal
You know I stumbled on this same picture over the weekend... and for the life of me I can't remember what I was looking for that brought me to it.
Thats my list for now.
For example D5, D7 as Tier 1 and so on.
OMGTHAT IS SOOO COOL! /sign /sign /sign /sign /sign /sign /sign
I can definately say that I would spend an hour just messing with that, along with the new shoulderpads, yeah, my costume would be badass.
If not, I am not sure I want to open that stocking
