It's simple, you missed tests, so you don't get the Tribble. It's a reward for people who spend their time on testing, not a thing which you can get because it's sweet and you want it.
Please, please, please put those tribbles in the c store!
Some Devs have alluded to there being another opportunity to obtain the Tribble of Borg in the future. Be patient. And I would think the same will be true for the Fluidic Tribble.
Ya. While sad that you could not be there and get it, you will have to hope for another testing round, that will provide thoose tribbles.
It is not that I want you not to have it, but some people put some efford into getting the time to test on tribble that paticular weekend (yes that includes me), and barely got in and got it.
Also remember that Cryptic put some time into thoose tribbles to make them special for testers. That makes them even more special than the pre-order items (wich should have never hit the C-Store either).
I truely hope that there will be another oppertunity to get this tribble, because they are well worth it, but it should remain a reward, and not somthing you can buy your way into.

Agreed. I missed out on the Borg Tribble (but I DID get the Fluidic Tribble) and I would love to see it (both, actually) offered again, but not on the C-Store. Another test weekend, maybe during the one-year anniversary or something like that.

How do you reach your keyboard from that high horse? I missed the testing because I didn't know about the testing. I've participated in testing previously and got the assimilated tribble. This time I didn't catch whatever notice Cryptic posted. Oh, wait, I forgot the 11th Commandment: "Thou Shall Not Earneth Tribbles That Thou Hath Not Earned Through Testing." Never mind, I stand corrected.
By the way: just between you and me: you can get things just because they're sweet and you want them in this game. Its called the C-Store. Don't tell anyone, it's our secret!

I'd be fine with this too. Another chance to get it either by testing, in game, the C-store, whatever.
One has to wonder how they will encourage Major Tribble testing now? I mean, this was somthing that was actually getting people to test on tribble... Now alot of thoose will just wait till thoose benefits appear on the C-Store (And I can even understand that, oddly enough).
I'll keep testing on tribble, as im too Cheap to spend money on C-Points, but not all will...
Too bad.
No offence to anyone, but it seems to me that there are way too many people out there with way too much cash.
I see the benefits of the C-Store... I really do, but would'n it be more beneficial to Cryptic to add things for Say... "Emblems of Purchase", and let people earn thoose through special missions. THoose would then be transferrable into C-Store points and let people buy stuff there.
That way people would (i think at least) maintain their supscriptions, and Cryptic would recive a steady cash flow, instead of tempoary short lasting boosts?!
It is not Cryptics fault however... as a "unnamed" Forum appearence with yellow texts said (roughly... i dont remember the exact words) in a "the exchange is overpriced" thread: As long as people buy overpriced items off the exchange, the ones who charges the overprice will keep posting at overprice.
The same goes for the C-Store.
yes...because people with a life don't deserve to have any fun stuff, do we?
You could decided that you didn't play that one hour on Holodeck but o Triblle. It's just like for example Korzeniowski or any other Olympic Champion could said: "Guys I missed the last Olympic Games, but I want the gold medal. Can you sell me one?"
I truely hope that there will be another oppertunity to get this tribble, because they are well worth it, but it should remain a reward, and not somthing you can buy your way into.
well from what i know business exist to make money right?cryptic is a business after all.they give me i pay.
yeah maybe i didnt get in the tribble weekends...
maybe i was too tired working all week...
yeah i know that you probably have a job too, maybe a better one, maybe a worse one.
it doesnt matter to me whether its special or not.i just want it.just for the fluff of having it.
so...i guess theres not much to tell.i just want all of them.its that simple.
oh and maybe maybe i tried to get in but my internet provider is irresponsible and on weekends its hell getting a connection...but that doesnt matter too.
all that matters is that im willing to pay for it and that means more money to cryptic, that means more money for the devs(hopefully),that means better game in the end=happy players and happy devs and happy corporate suits!everybody will be happy!
and what about all those people who payed more money for some edition of the game and then saw their special benefits in the c-store?arent they people too?why are the tribble testers so special?ok i know that, yes i do.no tribble means less fan for the standard server.i know. i just want them.its that simple!
....hmmm im starting to get out of hand...im acting like a 5yo...but i still want them!its gonna make my STO experiece more fun!
that simple.dont wanna hurt anybody.i just want a borg and a fluidic tribble.is that a wrong thing?

you serious?you know its a game right?games are supposed to be fun...right?so i will have lots of fun peting a borg or a fluidic tribble.
i really dont think that the analogy works.gold metal=special tribble? come on!gold metals are for super humans...aka olympic athletes.tribbles are ... pets...pets in a pc mmo game.ok i'll stop there.
why so negative?i work hard for my money.i expect to get nice things with my money, exept for food and survival stuff.c-store gives me nice things.cryptic happy<=>me happy!
other people can have fun and play whenever they want.i used to be like that up to the point that i got my master and started working my "impluse drive" of!(that was supposed to make you laugh:P).plus i grew up and people expect things.plus its a lot more difficult hanging out with friends...one lives in that town the other on that suburb...the other on that province...weekends are all i have!
dont be that negative.please!all i want is a little thing that makes funny sounds.i dont care about the effects.doesnt matter when in a ground mission.i know i will pwn the enemy whatever it is.i just want it for the fluff of it!
hey ive got a better reason for you ... me and my girl that we were about to be engaged broke up a few weeks ago(her fault...too immature...guess its better now than getting a divorse later).having those funny tribbles will make me feel better.is that good enough?
come on that surely sounded miserable enough!and yes its true and its hurts like hell!just 2 itchy beatchy tiny tribbles!is that such a big deal?if it is and ok!but if its not then dont be like that!:(
(im not from the US or england or anywhere that native launghage is english so dont make fun of my spelling):p

While I can understand your frustration, you could also get that tribble by being idle at space dock for an hour or two.
It would have been cool if they added them to the breeding list along side the purchase option but meh, what is done is done.
well from what i know business exist to make money right?cryptic is a business after all.they give me i pay.
yeah maybe i didnt get in the tribble weekends...
This time around
maybe i was too tired working all week...
Somewhat understandable... I however use games like this to relax and loosen up. That's the reason why I come here in the first plance
yeah i know that you probably have a job too, maybe a better one, maybe a worse one.
I do... Probably a worse one, but I don't want to bother you with that
it doesnt matter to me whether its special or not.i just want it.just for the fluff of having it.
That is kind of the point with it, isn't it xD
so...i guess theres not much to tell.i just want all of them.its that simple.
A collector are we?
oh and maybe maybe i tried to get in but my internet provider is irresponsible and on weekends its hell getting a connection...but that doesnt matter too.
Wich is exactly why I am hoping there will be another in-game oppertunity to get it. I almost didn make it myself for the fluidic tribble... I oly got here, because a element of my schedule dropped.
all that matters is that im willing to pay for it and that means more money to cryptic, that means more money for the devs(hopefully),that means better game in the end=happy players and happy devs and happy corporate suits!everybody will be happy!
But you should'n have to pay for it. All you should do, is the same as I did: Have an oppertunity to get in and test.Who knows, they could make a "special tribble tester" accolade, giving you the tribble after X amount of tribble testing time, or submitting x amout of bugreports (the latter could even apply to holodeck.
and what about all those people who payed more money for some edition of the game and then saw their special benefits in the c-store?arent they people too?why are the tribble testers so special?ok i know that, yes i do.no tribble means less fan for the standard server.i know. i just want them.its that simple!
Ummm... I am one of the people you're talking about... I've seen some of my "benefits" in the C-Store. I did'n support that solution then, and I don't support it now.
....hmmm im starting to get out of hand...im acting like a 5yo...but i still want them!its gonna make my STO experiece more fun!
It did?!? You did?!? Do the same as I do: Try to read every post with the most positive agenda you can. I did'n even think of things they way you discribe them here, untill i read this paragraph.
that simple.dont wanna hurt anybody.i just want a borg and a fluidic tribble.is that a wrong thing?
I't won't hurt anyone, except for you. I really can't see why your money should go into this.
:P
From my point of view, putting the Tribbles in the C-Store, dosen't benefit anyone.
There are so many solutions that would, without requiring players to directly pay extra.
Making accolades, that requires x-amount of bugreports to be submitted, or spending say... 10 hours on tribble (as opposed to the weekend 1 / 2 hours) or somthing completely diffrent, would still channel money into cryptic, while giving players such as you your reward, but would'n force you to use your hard earned cash.
I hope you see that I don't want to prevent you to get your hands on the tribble. I just want it to happen some other way, that wouldn nessacarily deminish the efford some people put into getting special items, like this does.
I see the value of the C-Store, but i'm starting to think that Cryptic is telling people "If you don't want to make an effort, lets just hope you have cash... just sit on your A**, and wait for the C-Store."
It's disappointing to see the Tribbles I earned for testing going up for sale for whatever arbitrary number cryptic dreams up. It also makes me wonder if any reward is safe from the C Store.
In fact I'd like Cryptic to be more open and up front about the C-Store, what will and will not end up on it, when it ends up on the store, how they decide on pricing, etc.
Something like;
Test Server Reward tribbles will not go on the C Store for a minimum of 6 months after the initial reward date.
We calculate C Store pricing based on the average hours of gameplay required to earn the item in game, so a Tier 5 Retrofit is faily priced at thousands of points as to earn it in game requires levelling to Vice Admiral.
Where items in the store cannot be earned in game we calculate their price based; on the number of developement hours used, the accessability to the item (Feds only, Klink only, universal etc.), and the usefulness of the item (player species, costume pack etc).
The existing pricing for some items compared to others seems nuts. Cryptic charge 240 points for an additional player species. But want 280 points for Costume pack?!
My main disappointment though is that the Nebula has been delayed, possibly due to appeasing the Klinks (a decision I don't understand, but that's a rant for another time.).

thats exactly why i said throw it in the c-store.
the point is paying a price to get them.either with your time or your money!
thats why (that goes to anazonda:P) i ask for them to be in the c-store.so that you wont feel bad about it cause others will have to pay for it.you know pay the price?
anyway i got over this on a previous post...so chill out.
ad for the whole unfair c-stores prices ... go start a new thread about it and see where it goes.personaly i cant dissagree with most of your points but on the other hand it doesnt bother me that much...

I've been wanting to get the Borg Tribble for ages now.
Sadly, I missed out on the testing weekend and the second one didn't give me the Borg Tribble.
I appreciate this opportunity to acquire the Borg Tribble on my account.
Thank you again!!!!!!
