Silly Cryptic... Lifetime Transfer...

So LONG story short and I'm not going into details... but I'd love the opportunity to transfer my Lifetime Subscription from STO to CO. With Cryptic I started with Champions (technically I started with City of Heroes) and as an avid Superhero fan, the game keeps drawing me back.
Of course I submit a ticket asking about this and am promptly told that there's no way because Lifetimes are no longer offered. Wow, really? Yes I know that, I don't want one... I want to trade mine. You'd think with these games both being Cryptics and the support site being linked it wouldn't be a big effort. Apparently it is.
My thought process is that right now I don't log into STO. I don't play it, I don't buy anything from the C-Store for it, and will not until significant content is added. Again, I wont go into details. But I will however be willing to play Champions and buy items in the C-Store there (even the first day playing). I could potentially make more money for Cryptic and in the long term when STO expands, even re-sub here with a month to month subscription. More financial win for Cryptic.
But, alas, I'm told that there's no way. Is there anyone in my shoes that would also like to do this? Am I the only one? Should this really be impossible? Wouldn't they make more money from me in the longer run if they did this switch?
So many questions and a CSR that wont honor my request to speak with a superior before turning me down. I have half a mind to cut and run and sever my ties with Cryptic all together. Yeah that'll show 'em. :rolleyes: Unfortunately I doubt they'd care. But it doesn't instill a lot of hope in this company when I can't do something this easy. I'd love to support them, I have been a huge supporter from the getgo when all others talked bad of them... but it's just getting silly now Cryptic.

Also cryptic must have a good enough reason not to offer LTS for CO. If you could just buy an STO one and transfer it what would be the point in not offering a CO LTS?
Another thing is that (I hope) the money that goes from STO subscriptions etc will go back into STO. It stands to reason that if STO makes more money than CO, then it should get that much more money to spend on the game and improve it.
They can correct me if I'm wrong... but I don't think they're doing Lifetimes now because they offered too many before. There was a mass purchase of them and I'd imagine they wish they hadn't allowed that.
But no I don't think they'd get more money from me. I wouldn't stick with Champions forever if I had to subscribe every month. I'd probably go 6 months before something better came out. But with a Lifetime I'd be "stuck" there and at least still enjoying it enough to spend more money. Here, I'm not enjoying it and wont spend anything. I've had the same 200+ points for a while now. I want to say the last thing I purchased was the Imperial ship skin.
But this is a game I'd subscribe to if they improved on it. No matter where else I was, I would subscribe to it. While others dropped and ran, some refunding their Lifetime Subs, I stuck through it hoping it would get better. I just can't play it right now, and would love the opportunity to play another of their games. I just don't see them doing it.
As far as where the money goes. You'd think each game has money and funds separate from the other. But in the past these multi-game developers seem to pool a lot of the resources to develop the next game, and keep the existing ones floating. I'd have to assume the money is being used for both equally. Plus now they're working on a new game that I imagine will use up some of the funding.
So either way, my money goes to Cryptic. They could let me play a game I'd spend money on... or hold onto a Lifetime Sub in a game I have no intentions on playing for any time soon. Sounds like a no brainer.

Terrible analogy... it's more like:
Going online to the Warner Brothers online store and buying a DVD. Not satisfied with the features the extra disc has, I return it for a different DVD also made by them.
They lose nothing. But in this case, they have a store set up with extra items that I'd be willing to purchase for one game but absolutely not for the other. Kind of like me buying a Chevy and then going to a Ford dealership and trading in my Chevy to buy more with the Ford car. Different companies in that example, but the same here. Which means they only gain and gain from this.
Right now the C-Store and monthly fees is all Cryptic has. A large majority of the people playing STO are Lifetimers and I would venture to bet there's quite a large majority in CO like that. So they no longer get any money from all of those people unless they include enticing items in the store. One person spending $5 on a pack of items isn't much. 5,000 people spending $5 is. The more people buying the better.
So yes, it's a no brainer. I could let my account sit here and not do anything. Cryptic would therefore get nothing more than they already have. Or, they could make an additional $100 or more by allowing me to transfer my subscription. It's money, or no money. Really how difficult is that to comprehend?
Anyway, do I see this going anywhere? No. I'd like to retain some hope in the company and still support them as I had notoriously for a year now (back when CO was in beta and then into STO current). But STO is at a standstill for me, and I wont be contributing to it until significant additions are made to it (which would be at LEAST 10 levels worth of missions, ships, items, worlds, starbases, etc... basically an expansion). But I do have some interest in CO and would spend money over there. :rolleyes: Guess Cryptic doesn't want money.
Even worse analogy. Of course they lose something. If they say "Sorry you don't like the features the extra disk has but that isn't a reason we'd give you your money back" then they keep the money you already spent and then sit back and quietly smile as you shell out (grumpily, but you'll do it) more money for the other disk that you really want to try.
or in your specific case they'd say "Sorry, lifetime subs are not a roaming subscription to any game we currently make. We already have your money for this title and we would really like to make some more money off of you by charging you to play our other unique games. We're a business. We're funny like that."
See what I mean? They gotcha and they knows it.
