You forgot the part where it buckles easily under phaser fire, torpoedos that track you 10 seconds after you cloaked, and the most defining feature of the BoP, jack of trades, master of none.
We are quite aware that your getting universal slots, and you have gotten cloaks. Let's see what have Klingons recieved in return.

Um, anybody want to hazard a guess what we have gotten because I have no idea.
KDF ... anything ... got pushed back to October. And will likely be pushed back further.
I don't think it will be.
The KDF ships got pushed back to October because it took longer than expected to make the existing stream of ships that have just come out.
There are two ship divs right now, one is working on the Nebula and the other (CapnLogan) has recently started work on the Klingon ships - and once the Nebula is out of the way they will both presumably then work on KDF.
So the difference here is that a month ago there was no progress being made, hence the set back, but now they ARE being worked on which makes the 6 weeks post from Dstahl last week a real possibility.
All the other ships announced, Vulcan Andorian Enterprise J, Enterprise refit, etc, are in precisely the same position that the Klingon ships were in when they were first announced back at the begining of August - sitting in the Schedule, probably with artists churning out conceptual sketches, and waiting for the ship team to finish their latest work load (that work load now being the KDF ships).
So no matter how much we're all thinking "I bet it doesn't happen" it seems pretty clear that when Dstahl says that the next ships added will be KDF (besides the Nebula) he really means that the next ships added will be KDF.
Patience guys, we'll get our new ships. Then we can rant over how we've been shafted and been given weak ships with useless specials :P

Well, they did give us a useless ship for 2.0.....they Kar'Fi is TRIBBLE. Oh the reason they pushed it back was the 2 devs only in the ship department?...Oh, and here Storm shade was saying that it's CBS's fault...liscensing and something....well, it's nice to know they can't get their own spin correct....
I will gladly come over there and work for them...Heck, I'd do it for free......FREE I tell you.....!!!!!!!!!
As far as cloak detection goes, we should be given a skill to keep our cloaks more viable when going up against ships such as the nebula...I don't know about you but the ship is game-breaking, especially for cloaked defiants on fed vs fed pvp and fed vs. Klingon pvp...We need to have some skill that recharges every two minutes that allows us to have something like a stealth fighter....where the ship can pass almost completely undeteced through the net..... (stealth fighters have the ability to absorb and not reflect radar waves).
If a power is asking too much, then have a console that allows the hull to be much like the F-117A. We would be in-fact in stealth-mode for a percentage of the time...For example make it a science console that allows us to be immune to this 'net' for a percentage of time, or that the console reduces the chance of being caught in this 'net' by X percent.....
What do you think? Get this idea out to the devs if we can, if you like it, etc...

If I remember corrently this detection grid was easily defeated by a tachyon burst. So, Devs wheres our Tachyon burst?
I could be wrong but I thought they had a team of 3 ship artists?
I don't know but the balance has always been fed....Nothing for klink except for something that looked like it fell down the ugly tree hitting every branch on the way down.

DStahl was pretty clear it was held up in the CBS approval process, and that once they have the go ahead their ship artists can pretty much make a ship in 9ish days.
Well, we need something to defeat this net...I like my idea...give us (and make it available to feds...since they will be doing fed vs fed pvp) consoles that will allow us to be undetectable to the grid x percenatge of the time. Or at the very least give us a power that will drastically reduce the chance of getting caught in the net....The recharge can be once every 2-3 mins. This skill can be released with retrofit ships OR as a captain skill that all Klingons can use either at end-level or make it scale and the chance of getting caught reduces as you level....
I do not see this as being game-changing...Not like I see the Nebula as being game-breaking......I mean really....no ability to use a cloak, feds do...we have no cloak detection etc, and it becomes a real pain to even try to do any PVP.....I do hope they fix this so that we are on some kind of even footing...Perhaps they introduced this ship as a way to prepare Klingons for getting terrible ships in October and hope that we stop playing allowing them to concentrate on making the Romulan faction.....I want there to be some kind of counter detection.....It has been a part of stealth warfare since it was invented millenia ago...
I don't know but the balance has always been fed....Nothing for klink except for something that looked like it fell down the ugly tree hitting every branch on the way down.

I agree with everything said about how Feds have Cryptics favor & that Klinks do not! I have read articles of staff leaving STO & going to work on NWN which is fine for them but bad for us. Klinks are dying out, period! Do Not make any new factions till the supposed two you have are equal. It has all been said before by several loyal Star Trek fans like me. I have a glimmer of hope that the Klingon side will be repaired & be wonderful someday but not today. Guess Cryptic really does believe "It is a Good Day to Die" for the Klingon faction anyway! Leveled up three Feds to VA & decided to try the Klingon side, what a major disappointment! It is such a shame - I have a LT Sub & it will go to waste!

Sadly it does seem that way, our slow demise being pushed along by those fed players who feel we are not worth the time or effort.
You can't make the assumption that this will be game breaking when we haven't seen how effective it is. For all we know it may have very little impact and may be easily countered by bumping auxillary skills.
As it stands increasing aux skills already makes you virtualy undetectable unless the oppponent is doing the same thing - turn your aux up to maximum and you can see any cloaked ships with low aux up to around 8k away.
A stealth bomber isn't magicaly stealth by default. Its hull refracts radar, but only to a certain point, and if it can be physicaly seen or heard then its stealth is useless - just in the same way that a sub isn't naturaly stealthed, it has to reduce all of its sound emissions.
So personaly I find it somewhat of a fair assumption that simply "being cloaked" shouldn't be all it takes. If you want to cloak and be as stealthy as you can then you SHOULD be diverting power to the cloaking device which in STO means bumping power to aux - so long as doing that counters the tachyon grid, we are fine. It just means we have to put a little more effort and thought into cloaking which, frankly, is how it should have been from the start.
Huh. I was surprised this hadn't seen more discussion. Then I figured I might look in the forum nobody ever goes to
Speaking as a primarily Starfleet player*, the announcement of the Nebula's special ability provoked an immediate WTF, setting aside the added WTF that it was originally announced as a C-store item and finally later promised to have some nebulous** form of in-game availability. The ability to set up a massive no-cloak zone kinda defeats the purpose of their existence. I'd have much preferred (as BO powers, consoles, and/or devices, not unique to one ship and thus faction) something more akin to modern ASW warfare - active sensor sweeps (well we kinda got those), buoys that can be evaded or destroyed, etc. Not something to reinforce the already somewhat boring Fedball tactic, with little use for PvE***.
*I'd like to at least have a Klingon alt, but your gameplay is slightly less enjoyable than slamming my face into a belt sander. I really, really feel bad for the people whose hearts are invested in the Klingons. But I'm not saying anything in this footnote that isn't already known
**Yes, my puns have no honor.
***I'd have loved means to seek and engage (or otherwise get ambushed by) spawns of the cloaking factions in PvE rather then have one ship just hanging there giving position away like an idiot.
Well its only right and proper that the feds get a ship that takes the last fun and pleasure from the hands of the over-powered klingons, *******s that we are in our cryptic designed uberness of lacking content and mighty repeating ship designs.....................:p
I do understand some of you klingon players have forgotten canon but lets be clear. The klingons dont have alot of versions of ships because they are not the federation. They are a brut force who believe in attacking head on. Their ships are agile and for those that arent well try taking them down. If you are looking to have the same number of ships as the federation well then you should know its never going to happen. First off the klingons are a dieing race. secondly the federation is not all based upon earth. Its technology from many various groups and organizations from the federation. I can say cryptic is going good on canon with the ship role outs. I would think they would give you guys more BO powers but they gave you another carrier and soon a ship that can fire while cloaked. Do remember you have a tail pipe though. You also have ships from the other races you conquered. Stop gripping about the federation. its bigger and has way more technology so its obvious we will need more ships.
If any klingon players can come up with a canon reason of whats wrong with the klingons im all ears. If your missing any ships from the shows or abilities lets hear it and stop talking about how the federation gets this and that. The federation in game is 95% canon. The new cosmetic ships dont do anything special.
They are a brut force who believe in attacking head on.
What gave you that idea?
First off the klingons are a dieing race.
What gave you that idea?
secondly the federation is not all based upon earth. Its technology from many various groups and organizations from the federation.
So is the KDF's.
I can say cryptic is going good on canon with the ship role outs.
You realize that the Cryptic storyline is that war ... war with the federation ... has revitalized the Klingon Empire, giving it the purpose and direction it needed to reclaim its lofty status as conquerors?
Do remember you have a tail pipe though.
That's only a weakness in Bevery Hills Cop Online, an MMO we're not playing.
You also have ships from the other races you conquered.
These ships do not exist in-game.
Stop gripping about the federation. its bigger and has way more technology so its obvious we will need more ships.
If by "more ships" you mean "more cruisers! LOTS more cruisers PLZ!" then by all means, have them. The KDF will not at all stand in the way of the Federation adding a half dozen more cruisers to choose from. That is after all, the only ships that ever get shown on the shows. And the federation needs more cruisers. There's still so many roles that a cruiser hasn't been able to fill yet.
As far as I know. I thought the Nebula class was still under construction. Most of the stats were figured out. However the Top pod was the debated Item. A lot of Nebula lovers like me want it to be more of a Universal equipment slot.
Some options I just posted for the unversal slot:
Extra Weapon slot
Extra Sciece equipment
Extra Eng. equipment (Sorry no Extra hull Res. Just would not make sense)
Extra warp nacell for better (speed and turn rate)
Or the Sensor pod (For a Science officer Cloak sweep ability)
the Nebula also has a massive shuttle bay so a Pocket Carrier was also being debated.
First time I have heard about a tacyon net.
I have been off the fourm for labor day so I am new to the Nebula chat.
I have also talked about the federation getting a mine that would have a 20 meter cloak detector on it I think that would be the fair option since it could be destroyed and would have a limited range.
The only reasons KLingons don't have as many ships is because all Startrek series focused on a group of Starfleet officers and their ship or station. Klingons played a prominent role in those shows, but they are still make a tiny fraction of screentime.
Creating new ship models for Klingons all the time would have been cost-prohibitive. And possibly counter-productive to enable viewer recognition of the ships. (But I really think it all comes down to budget).
There is no canon-evidence that this is all that KDF really has and that there is a particular reason why they don't use more ship variants.
You forgot the part where it buckles easily under phaser fire, torpoedos that track you 10 seconds after you cloaked, and the most defining feature of the BoP, jack of trades, master of none.
I'm a mediocre BoP pilot and I've hardly ever been destroyed.
I decloak and hit RSP as soon as they open fire on me.
My RSP runs out, I hit EP>S and TSS.
That runs out and I hit my second RSP.
I get tractored, I hit them with jam sensors.
If my target hasn't blown up by then and I'm under no threat, I use ET1 and Aux>SIF2 (haven't gotten trained in ET3 yet).
All that and I'm still doing scary amount of damage with HYT3 and CRF3
If I start getting into real trouble, I make sure everyone's fired their torps and cloak. And if I'm in real real trouble, I run and cloak.
Um, anybody want to hazard a guess what we have gotten because I have no idea.
Not much, the reason being two fold:-
1 - The Klingon ships are overpowered. I once disagreed with this statement so many times it got silly... However after playing as them for longer, their ships are far more powerful then their Federation counterparts. Yes yes yes, their hull is lower... So what? The game as it stands right now, hull is of little importance, it's all about shield tanking (not to mention the difference in hull isn't that big). The Negh'var is still superior to the Galaxy Refit. The BoP can become a science vessel of death, more then capable of tanking their shields in a way that would make most Fed science ships blush, yet having the firepower of an escort.
2 - There isn't that much in the way of canon Klingon ships and Star Trek has always been more focused on the Federation rather then the Klingons.
the nebula getting rushed is what got the kdf refits pushed back from end of august to indefinite releaase.
we get a bop that shoots regular torps while cloaked, some time after they get an infallible cloak detection vessel.

im sorry dude your statement reeks of BS sounds more like your talking about a fed toon (except the decloaking part).
If you hit rsp the minute you take fire i hope you run well rsp is an OH **** button not an oh wait they target me.
or are you talking about when you play pve .. because by the sounds of your setup & the way you play , your either a noobie fed or a noobie fed klingon wanna be who only plays PVE.
cause if you had met a half decient fed group in pvp they would have stripped you of all you were running & laughted as you popped in a puff of smoke.

And if you are hit by a Tykens/black hole, youre screwed
If youre hit by a second tractor, youre screwed
If youre SNBd and/or VM, youre screwed
If youre hit by Warp Plasma, youre screwed
TBR3, along with a sensorscan and regular attacks? Screwed
With only CRF3 and HYT3, youll never dent a decent cruiser or SV, any decent Escort/Raptor will outDPS you
Not much, the reason being two fold:-

So, you quickly throw together a seemingly effective loadout (in reality its a bad loadout, you have no versality), to support the ridicolous notion that it is overpowered.. I call BS on the statement "I've hardly ever been destroyed", since any halfway decent PvP player will have multiple ways of countering you.
Negh'var is not OPd next to the Fed cruisers (Id argue that its subpar to both the SC, the ECR, the AHC, while being slightly better than with the AC)
BOP is versatile, but its not even a close match to a SV, and it will never match a real escort in terms of damage (you can come close, but essentially youll fly a Escort approximation with slightly less DPS, less heals, less hull and less shields - And gain a little manouvrebility and a battlecloak - It can be effective, yes - But so can any ship/loadout with enough practice)
Raptor is a good escort, but still inferior to the Fed escorts.. Ensign Eng or Sci is much better than Ensign Tactical
2 - There isn't that much in the way of canon Klingon ships and Star Trek has always been more focused on the Federation rather then the Klingons.
Maybe so, but this is a MMO, with two factions, not a TV show with the good/bad archetypes.. Wannabe Kirks/Picards aside. there need to be some balance between these factions... How would Starcraft work out if Zerg had 5 unittypes total or WoW if Horde had 2 character classes with 6 skills
No Klingon ship is over powered to any appropriately equiv fed ship. Anyone that says otherwise has not spent much time PVPing.
I'm a Negh'Var captain, a pretty damn good one too, and it is my combination of abilities and my own judgement on when to fire them that wins me battles - not anything else.
You can quote the advantages to either side, but at the end of the day the most important things for ships, especialy for cruisers whose primary role is to tank, is hull and boff slots - and at least in regards to cruisers, the fed ships easily have the advantage there.
Having cannons and a faster turn rate perhaps gives Klingon battlecruisers and advantage vs fed escorts, compared to fed cruisers vs BoPs or Escorts, but thats about as far as that advantage goes - its more of a bonus for PVE than PVP.
As it stands right now, I would say the Excelsior is hands down the most powerful cruiser in game. It quite easily outclasses the Negh'Var 1vs1 - and I can say that from both the experience of flying one and fighting one.
And for the record, most KDF players aren't asking to have an equal amount of ships to Starfleet, we are simply asking for some ships that are missing, to have some lower-level ships as refits in precisely the same way Starfleet now has, and to have some ships that are at least a match for the new Fed ships which is what is currently proving an issue for us - with every new fed cruiser, the Negh'Var drops lower and lower in the power chart.
But this is all besides the point since this about the Nebula and not other ships

You realize that the Cryptic storyline is that war ... war with the federation ... has revitalized the Klingon Empire, giving it the purpose and direction it needed to reclaim its lofty status as conquerors?
That's only a weakness in Bevery Hills Cop Online, an MMO we're not playing.
These ships do not exist in-game.
Trial and error will tell the tail.
Thanks
Creating new ship models for Klingons all the time would have been cost-prohibitive. And possibly counter-productive to enable viewer recognition of the ships. (But I really think it all comes down to budget).
There is no canon-evidence that this is all that KDF really has and that there is a particular reason why they don't use more ship variants.
Torpedo, singular
And if im cloaked your what,,, that's right fully shielded
the nebula getting rushed is what got the kdf refits pushed back from end of august to indefinite releaase.
we get a bop that shoots regular torps while cloaked, some time after they get an infallible cloak detection vessel.

im sorry dude your statement reeks of BS sounds more like your talking about a fed toon (except the decloaking part).
Impressive.
Topped only by the triple dog facepalm, which is rarely used because it tends to end up with people getting their tongues stuck to metal poles.
Bla de bla bla
