C-store abusing us

I don't agree with the way the c-store has gone, they might as well make this a free to play game
1. Extra BO slots used to be available by level - they removed these to add them to c-store
2. New ships used to be available for in-game currency - ever since they made a killing by the galaxy appearing in c-store they have abused this by charging cryptic points for every new alternative ship ( these are items that affect gameplay )
3. What's next ???
This is greatly reducing the number of players renewing subscriptions along with the game being underdeveloped.
The way cryptic are going they will only have LTS players left which i'm sure they can't survive on.

They never removed that. The Cstore purchase just unlocks even more than you could previously have at cap.
Excelsior (T3) as well as all 3 T5 retrofits that arrive with Season 2 are available in-game.
1.) Extra BO Slots are still available by level. They didn't remove those, just added MORE if the 10 that you get wasn't enough.
2.) New ships are still available via in-game currency. The Tactical Refit, the Cruiser Refit, the Interpid (science) refit are all available for 300 Emblems at VA. Excelsior T3 is purchaseable with energy credits are Commander Rank. The Nebula will likely (though its not confirmed yet) also be purchasable with Emblems or some such. I think they are still running the 5 friend referral for the Galaxy X as well.
2. Wrong, the Excelsior is the first actual "ship" to be a C-Store only item.
3. A Nebula class ship that can be bought in C-Store if your impatient, but earned through gameplay if you are patient.(or so is the plan)

To OP:
You still get BO slots as you level. You can now chose to pay to get more then you normally would though leveling alone.
The newest ship, the Excelsior is available for in game currency... As well as the 3 Fed S2 Retrofits.
The C-Store funds itself and some of that additional revenue is used to help provide "free" stuff like:
Difficulty Slider/Punishment system
STFs
Diplomacy Missions
Weekly Episodes
Etc...
Don't like it, don't use it. Nobody is forcing you to pay for anything in it, and NOTHING in the C-Store is necessary.. But some of us do like the things in there and do not mind paying for them... And we know our cash goes towards making the game better for everyone.. Even you.
1. Extra BO slots still seem to be available as I level... got 2 more slots at Lt.com, got 2 more at Comm, etc... The C-store slots are there so if, for any bizaare reason, you need, you know... Extra slots... personally I think I have enough BO's at VA, some of them are barely used at all.
2. New ships are still available for in game currency. I can get myself an excelsior T3 for energy credits... I can save emblems for if I want a captain to fly more than one refit... Now, the two exceptions are the Galaxy-X and the excelsior T5. The Galaxy-X is the reward for the referral program, hence why after the player campaign to get it in the C-store, it costs so much... and the t5 excelsior? Dstahl has already said he's looking into alternative ways of getting both the t5 Excelsior and the upcoming Nebula available outside the C-store.
3. Who knows... but ain't it exciting?
Sry, but these were removed from they game for c-store profits - they were available in the origional season 2 patch to tribble, it was only when they appeared in c-store and someone enquired about them that they were removed from season 2 patch.
Most people posting on these forums are either LTS or members who don't list in the captain database ?
The highlighted word explains it. New items like this are often able to be tested on the Tribble server for no additional charge. This changed for the holodeck.
But still, you do get more boff slots per rank. That hasn't changed.
Sry but i didn't get any extra BO slots from level 45 upwards like were origionally planned for season 2 update ?
you are smoking crack now. The above were not witty responses, they were statements of fact, I play on Holodeck and am leveling another commander on it and every rank promotion I'm getting more BO slots. Check your facts before you post again.
As my other HOLODECK players above me have confirmed, you can get the additional new ships that exist at VA for 500 emblems. Geesh
No you don't get any more Boff slots after 45, you get powers instead. WE NEVER GOT BOFF SLOTS AFTER 45. Tribble doesn't count, its a test server, not a promise of how things will be deployed. You don't need any more Boff slots after 45 since you can have a full bridge crew and full away team as separate bridge officers without buying additional slots.

Sry but i'm not smoking crack, your only commander at mo but when you reach lvl 45 u will no longer get these free BO slots or have the option to get alternative ships for in game currency,
My main complaint and reasoin for this post is with nromal in-game features being replaced by c-store options.

Look at it this way, you get more BOff slots and Ship slots per Tier, but since 45+ is still Tier 5 you don't get anything new.
