Problems purchasing Excelsior

Whenever I try to purchase the Excelsior I get an error stating "Unable to complete transaction: This Item cannot currently be purchased"
Any ideas why? I am on my VA Fed character.

    If all your ship slots are full, you can't get the ship. Decomission one of your older ships and try again. (Or buy extra ship slots if you want to keep that ship, but it's highly unlikely you will ever want to go back to one of the earlier ships. :) )

    Since this has come up before my feedback for C-Store is - improve this error message.

    make sure you have a empty ship slot. you can only have so many at one time.

    Also, I've read that you need an inventory slot free for a couple of them as well, so be on the safe side and make sure you have one open :)
