You are getting crazier and crazier. Take the medicine...its there to help.

Everyone else is posting in a sane manner. Quit being rude and whiney and join the conversation.

And yeah, I gave up on the klingon. I'm not looking to spend my time beating my head against a wall and rant in forums about how bad being a klingon sucks. I'm looking to play a game. Something fun. You take this stuff more seriously than a lot of people take their jobs.

Again, hope you get the help you need before you stroke out.

PS - I think its a raw deal that Cryptic won't give you your money back.

No Medicine will help; we have been having these conversations since beta. Cryptic has shot themselves in the foot so many times; I'm surprised they still have a stump to stand on.

hehe....we do like our meds. But you can't fool me - I lived in Europe for six years. They like their drugs, too. They just don't get them all from a pharmacy is all.

And yeah, I don't have a lot of playing time so I don't waste it on something that'll **** me off. I will pick up the klingon toon once all of the anger and rage has been worked thru and there is actually something to do with him.

I think the last time a dev actually replied to anything of consequence was 12 August...The rest of the information posted after that was to try and get us off their backs...I dunno about you but I am a little agitated klink money, and I'm gonna keep my reminders up for them.....Perhaps if we use some carrot and stick methods to get them to work, they will read our forums and provide us with REGULAR feedback...I had to post in discussion way up in fed land to get anything.....

no no what they need a a redhot poker up the AZZ for the way the klings have been treated in this game .
Iv only played one other startrek game (with playable multifaction options)

Star trek armada (not 2 it sucked balls) 4 factions each had there own special weapons & each had the same amount of ships.

Now feds roms & klings there ships were all pretty much equal .. yes the borg
were stronger ship for ship .. but the way the game was worked the borg ships
took longer to produce So yes a cube could kill any of the other 3 factions cap ships.
One on one but the point was the other factions could knock out more ships than the borg.
content wise there was not much in single player mode.
But feds roms & klings all got an equal share of missions as well no faction was treated any
    better or worse than another.
& thats the way STO should be not one faction getting everything & the other faction being left to rot.
funny thing is in armada the klings were by far my most favoured race as well :o

As I've told Cryptic since closed beta we will never forgive or forget.

The only point in them meeting any of your demands is that you'll do both. If you're going to hold a grudge a year from now when the Klingon faction is complete and if that's the standard Klingon response then they might as well get rid of your faction now, if working on it doesn't restore trust or earn goodwill.

Cryptic tried a pull a fast one and that doesn't inspire good will. They received complaint threads that numbered over 50,000 and did Cryptic listen to them. No, they did not and we still have all the major issues that have not even been touched by them since the bombshell they dropped back in closed beta. If they really wanted to restore faith in them and good will, Klingons should have been worked on from Day one, and all we did get was some bones from the Federation plate. Even now they simply do not include Klingons when developing new features and game play. We don’t even warrant Veteran rewards, or new uniform pieces when we reach the new level cap and I’m supposed to keep giving them time. How many times should I let them burn the bridge before I wise up?

I believe the crux of the issue is ... there is such lackluster movement on addressing any of the KDF issues, that a year from now, the faction will still be incomplete.

This is a win-win for the devs. They can keep promising to do a Romulan faction, but "only" when the KDF is complete. The same KDF they don't have the manpower to complete.

Promise the Romulans far off into the future. And it keeps getting further into the future. Because General Longcoats take 3 or more months to complete, and put everything else on hold.

    That's clever.

The players will eventually catch on and call them out on it. But by then another 12 to 18 months will have passed.

    Honest question, chum:

If Cryptic DID pour every ounce of their resources into catching Klingons up and nothing else... How long do you think it would take...?

I seriously think that would be 12 to 18 months if they dropped everything else, given that their rate of production seems to be about 30 episodes and maybe around 8 ships and 6-7 costumes a year. And they simply can't drop everything else.

So, being real, what is it you expect?

I think they need another 2 years to finish the KDF at this point and, if that's too long, they need to dash together a way to share Federation content. But that what a lot of Klingon players want is impossible and that there is no way of addressing or making good on their complaints.

At a certain point, you have to say, "The promise is broken. We can't and won't make good on it." And players have to move along as well unless they're willing to accept creative solutions.

Because what you want, what you thought you were getting two years ago? Not possible.

At best, you can get something less painful. But you need to compromise because what you want is not doable anytime soon.

Two patches. So half a season.

There's corners that they really can cut.

For instance, PVE disparity. I suggested in a different thread to create a "zone in link" to Romulan and Cardassian space (kind of like Eta Eridani links to Deferi space). A back door if you will. And in that space, have Kestrel do what Kestrel's already been doing to mission text ...have a KDF version of Romulan and Cardassian missions. So you piggyback on the stuff that's already there. Granted this doesn't work too well for the lower level zones. Because it'd be Klingon vs. Klingon. But the KDF has a long history with the Romulans. And that would work. And the Cardassians and Klingons have some noted history with DS9 episodes. So that would work.

It's a short cut, that with a little bit of work and tweaking would increase the KDF PVE content by quite a large number.

I'm not exactly asking for miracles here. Just ... a better organized approach.

Two patches seems fairly good to me and it doesn't have to be 100% klingon, we can throw in 15% fed for good measure. In my opinion the Klingons should be near to being completed by the end of February 2011( as far as catch-up goes),with the third faction just starting to appear. Pour resources into fast tracking the third faction by September 2011 and give all three a polishing (with more small content) by Christmas (hopefully boosting C-store sales during a peak season of spending). Follow up with bug hunting until February 2012.
Once again this is sidewalk business theory only.

Yes, that is true....we probably won't see this idea happen though....

Thanks for you understand and mindful post, but isn't there something else you should be sticking your fed nose into besides telling me and mine where are places are? What happened to the "equal in our differences" attitude that the United Federation of Planets is suppossed to be known for? Or is that more fed talk just spewing from your mouths?

lol-I love that series and Jane was my fave character. The best scene in a scifi show ever was when Malcom offered to send back the money fromthe train job, got threatened -kicked the bad guy into the engines and moved to the next in line. Now thats a human with balls.

Be nice. They are a frail and weak species - pity them and them kill them lest they live to realize how lost they really are.

I've said it a thousand times, the Humans and Triibles need to be nuked but the High Council won't release authorization for Scorched Earth just yet. Probably because of some invisible boundary that keeps us locked in two sectors.

Strap a nuke on the front of a BOP...cloak it, and send it to ESD to wipe out the fed crybabies and carebears...KDF problem solved.....

    LOL......sounds good to me....
