Switch C-Store Uniform slots to Casual/uniform?

I think you could do this when you first used the slot, but I can't remember now, but would it be possible to set these up so you can use either Uniform or Casual and switch at any time? I've set both mine to Uniform and want another Casual one.

I was going to ask the same thing, having just purchased the formal off duty costume set
and two additional costume slots. I was unable to use either new costume slot for a new
    off-duty type.

Would be nice if the tailor had a button to switch a costume slot from one type to
    the other (on-duty << >> off-duty).

By the way the new formal outfits are awesome, here's one I just made:
    Solstice in jacket and tie

An option that allows us to chose which slots are on duty and off duty would be nice yeah.

I agree with the request - bought some extra costume slots and formal wear, so would like to be able to use one of those slots as a "Formal Off-duty" slot - but it doesn't seem to allow me to.

Yeah same... I'm surprised this was not thought through already?

It would be nice to get extra off-duty costume slots (casual off-duty, formal off-duty, whacky/party off-duty, etc).

I would also like to be able to get additional costume slots for my BOffs (STWoK, MU, etc.).

Extra slots for BOffs would only really be useful if you could take them places other than away missions, I think.

So I definitely think we have an idea in being able to switch slots between Uniform and Casual. The way I see it, the first three slots would stay Uniform, Casual and Fleet Uniform as they are now but if I buy slots from the C-Store (i've purchased 2 extra) I want to choose what to use them as, so any additional slots after the three defaults should be 'open'.

What do the Devs think I wonder?

Honestly with the small amount of support this idea gets i doubt cryptic is going to bother.

When they first released additional costume slots (at least account wide) they were redeemable as either uniform or casual slots (couldn't mix and match, it was one or the other). They could be changed from uniform to casual and back again based on your choices. This was quickly "fixed" though...

It would be nice for this "bug" to be added back in as a feature, since it was nice and seemed to make sense that additional costume slots counted as either.

PLEASE put this back in. Thanks.

I think that BOs on ESD would be nice. It could be implemented using similar tech to that which replaces generic officers on our bridges, but would replace those around ESD with one or two from our BO roster when we beam in. It would be kept in check with the ract that the instances are limited in the number of concurrent players.

You can use them for off-duty wear though it's sort of weird and may be a bug rather than an intentional feature.

    Here's what you do.
    - First create a uniform, and do it from scratch as I've heard loading a saved uniform can mess this up. Though I haven't tried tested that myself.
    - Go in and modify the uniform. The very first pull down menu under tops well give the option of uniform or the various off-duty types. Once you choose one you have all the normal options for that outfit type.

    He's right.
    Just tried it, problem solved.

Go ahead and "create" a uniform for a new slot and purchase it.
Go back and modify the uniform, this time on the clothes page you
have the option "category" and can choose "off-duty".

    Awesome, thanks Alien_de_jour!

Forgive me, I already have costumes in both my purchased slots. What I wanted was to be able to use them for either type at any time. I have already created the costumes (did it when the slots first hit the C-Store) and I know you could pick either type when you created them but now I have a uniform in the slot I can't swap it back to casual.

Surely if you can do it when you create the uniform then it's bugged if you can't do it after? OR can you swap Casual to Uniform but not back the other way? Something seems to be broken or missing a feature here still.

You're quite right Fezarick. I hadn't tested those slots after I made the initial off-duty set. When I went back I was only allowed access to uniform options.

Is only having uniform options after the fact the bug or were these slots supposed to be uniform only and creating off-duty wear in them the bug?

Can we get a dev to comment on this?

I don't know which is a bug, I suspect (or at least hope) that they intended the slots to be switchable at any time but they aren't for whatever reason. However you see it it needs looking at. I'm gonna post the bug in the bugs forum and see what they say.

Wrong Forum - doh - too early in the morning! See below.

Corroborating reports would be handy if people can post them :)

Being able to use Casual with the other gear I think would be great C-Store item. Would love to mix the tops with the botton of some uniform. Some Clasic TOS cloths would be nice as well.

Today I bought the formal wear and 2 additional costume slots, only to realize, that I can´t use them for my new suit... That´s sad. Would be nice to allow us to switch the slots form On- to Off-Duty.

    You can.

Go ahead an create a uniform and purchase it using the new slot.
Then go in and go to the 3rd page (clothes) and select the category of off-duty.

I was going to buy the "costume" slot but when I found out that it's actually an "uniform" slot I decided against it. To me, naming it a "costume" slot implies that one can use the slot for either uniforms or off duty clothes and the description itself makes no mention of it being restricted.

"This one is for the fashionistas! If you want to flaunt your style without having to run to the tailor all the time, purchase additional costume slots! Note: Purchase of this option adds two (2) costume slots to all characters on an account. Both Federation and Klingon characters may use this option."

Well a purchased costume slot can be switched to off-duty use.
You just have to tailor a uniform with it first.
The next time you tailor the slot you will be able to choose the
off-duty type on the 3rd (clothes) page.

So first I need to pay for the uni then exit the tailor and then go back in and the off duty option will be unlocked? If that's the case then I'm cool w/ this, even though it's a bit of a money sink.

I purchased the 2 costume slots and used 1 to create an off duty formal dress for my female Ferengi last night. Today I went back into the tailor to make some alterations BUT I have no option for any kind for off duty clothes and all I see are uniform options. I went ahead and reported this because it's a real annoying bug.
