As everyone knows, formal wear went live today for the price of 280 c-points.

I was excited. Mainly since I have never cared for the off duty uniforms in-game so far. After looking at them I thought "I should get these and check em out." I had 240 c-points that I got for taking a survey way back around launch time.

I was irritated when I saw that the cost of the formal wear was 280. Personally I don't want to pay 6.50 to get 500 points just to spend 40 of them. It would be nice if, when you tried to purchase something you don't have enough points for, it would give you the option to purchase the difference in points, or at least sell smaller denomination's of points. 500 is a lot of points for someone like me, considering that I haven't seen much on there that has really caught my eye.

Long story short, I don't want to pay 6.50 so that I can get an item that costs 3.64, especially that, given my current amount of points, I am only about $.50 away for being able to purchase it.

Guess I will just wait till merc outfits come in. Maybe those will be 240 points.

believe it or not, the transfer of money between accounts costs fees.

There is a minimum price tag to make the transfer "profitable".

Even more so when different payment options are offered. The more proxys and middlemans the higher the minimum purchase prices.

That is a reality and won't go away.

And yes, the trade in prices for points are usually set up in a way so you cant get 2 things with one purchase of a point unit.
thats why things cost 280 instead of 250.

That too is a long standing practice that you will find EVERYWHERE in just about every business in existence.

Because that is how they make money. Making you get extra that you may never use so they get that extra cash. Otherwise you would spend much less.

It is like when I go on Xbox Live and there is an addon to a game that is 560 MS Points.

MS Points come in 400, 800, 1600, 4000, so I am always left with extra.
