I don't really want to see ANY new content until the huge backlog of bugs is fixed, including things that may not be technically bugs, but are still broken, like the Fleet Actions no one plays, the crafting almost no one does, etc.

Possibly in an attempt to placate the upset fans STO grew too fast and too far outside its existing boundries and became thin and full of holes? Its time to take stock, fill in the blanks and fix whats broken before new things can be added.

    HEAR HEAR!!

I do think they need to address the major issues first before adding anything (well, they can add our ships then stop adding content) such as graphics, support for variour graphics cards, turning down some of those settings post 2.0 release. As well, they need to make sure to take care of looking at their coding to make sure nothing is seriously TRIBBLE people up.

After it is running much more smoothly, then add in more things such as ship interiors and such...Currently, it seems to me they are worse than microsoft, causing more holes and such with every update patch.

They will add new factions when their bottom line is in their best interest.

If they add a new faction they will loose what, less then 100 people, and thats if the majority klinks leave.
It would not make sence as a business to limit a new faction which will possibly bring in more players then loose a handful of remaining klinks

Eh...first of all, there are more klinks than you give us credit for...
Secondly, I feel that if the game is not finished and is still majorly bugged, the new faction would be most definitely not be fleshed out. I would say they need to take time to punch out the bugs, add klink ships and other such comforts to this side before moving on. You tend to forget we also have fed alts ....If a player isn;t happy he takes the account with him.

I don't know about you but adding another faction won't bring in that many more people. That is especially once they see the game is unfinished.....

I want to see more factions added, but first, I want the Klingon faction to be improved significantly, with a lot of PvE content added (more than what came in Season 2). I certainly wouldn't mind some PvP improvements/additional content (more maps, bug fixes, etc.) as well. Klingons should be brought as close as possible to having the same options / amount of PvE missions and other content/options as the Federation before they add a 3rd faction. Season 2 did take some steps to improve things, but they need to do more in the next big patch and along the way.

Judging by the number of Retrofit Carriers I've seen around Qo'Nos lately, I'd agree with this.

I wouldn't mind seeing more PvE missions, I enjoyed the hell out of them, but ultimately, the gameplay that they offer is very limiting. (How many times would you want to repeat any given mission?) So, in that light, I'd like to see the Devs spend time on content that either we can help with (UGC), or replayable, dynamic content (Open PvP sectors, Klingon Conquest system, political gameplay, House membership/blood-feuds, exploration...).

In other words, if they build a robust enough system (Open PvP and UGC, specifically), we can supply the content on our own, enabling them to spend more time on developing content that we can't help with, like the PvE story missions, or expanding the galaxy, adding enemies, and so on.

It seems as though some have decided to add more things to the system. I prefer to have them work on their mistakes first...fix the bugs, then focus on fleshing out some things that did not make the update BEFORE adding another faction..

    And Superchum.....that is funny...lol...

When I read the Engineering report I wonder what will happen to us in the future.
The Feds again get more stuff and were are only under discussions :(

Seems the marketing department has decided to continue catering primarily to the feds.

Gorn, Nausicaan, and Lethean females need to be added or the Klingon faction will never be "full fleshed out."

This is way overdue. Yet they have time to make female Pakleds for Feds.

Somehow I find the idea seeing of Gorn, Nausicaan, and Lethean females running around to be .... frightening :D

All joking aside, that's just ridiculous they made a female for Pakleds... but none for our allies

They would make great Shocktroopers. Long Live the Female Fatale Brigade.

They promised change and we became appeased for a time, only to be forgotten again for the attentions of the favored child.......

Fleshing out Klingons also means adding leisure zones Klingons can go, such as those listed at the link in my signature. The Feds have Quark's and Risa. The Klingons should get something too.

They dropped the ban hammer on a couple of people. And "moved" a few threads and then distracted the forums with other shinies.

Fully right. They calmed our concerns with hopes for refits and teh K'Vort, where they failed to deliver any evidence that it would come while the Feds can see their 3 new ships in all glory. Can't wait to blast Excelsiors and Nebulas :p

I was temporarily appeased by the promise of being "fully fleshed out"............
and of course the stuff thet Superchem mentioned as well - shinies.

Well, I see no shinies, and grunted in their general direction. I saw nothing about being fully-fleshed out during tribble, and again grunted to them. Did that change what paultry amount we received? Heck no....and we have every right to be frakking miffed.

True. The shinies are all still in the works and still coming. And there's been no visible evidence of any of it. On both sides, actually, as the excelsior and weeklies seem to be low on the priority list after another round of 2.0 patching creates even MORE bugs that affect basic gameplay.

    And speaking of ...

Right now I'm not sure they can fix enough bugs to make the game playable on a basic level right now ... let alone take a huge leap forward with the klingon faction.

In other words, they can't patch the game without breaking exploration even more (I refer to the crash to desktop bug they brought back) ... I shudder to think what they'll do the klingon faction if they do start focusing their attention on it.

    :(

They need to give Federation Klingons (who are still Klingons!) sashes in the tailor, it's their heritage and culture still. See: http://forums.startrekonline.com/showthread.php?t=176380 And it is well established in canon, just read the thread if any doubts.

It also doesn't make a lot of sense for a Starfleet Klingon to display a baldric when they are at war with the Klingon Empire. Where are their loyalties?

Their spirit is not Klingon, therefore they are not Klingons!

Regardless of what the baldrics symbolize militarily or culturally the Klingons who stayed on the Feddie side would to me be traitors not only to the Empire but to the Klingon people themselves.

It's one thing for the Federation to have abandoned the Empire when they went to fight the Undine influnce on the Gorn, but for any true Klingon to have turned their backs that way is undeserving of any such relics of their heritage. Even Worf left the Federation for their contemptable attitude and he was their biggest supporter for ages.

So I have to say I don't support Feddie Klingons having baldrics.

Me too. Those Klingons have cjhosen their path, even if it is treason to the Empire.

No sash for them as they no longer belong to a house or the empire and throw away their honor.
