If the C-Store offered you the option to start play as one of your bridge officers would you do it?

    Personally I don't feel the need to do it at the moment. However, I can see several good reasons why people would want to do it for example now that the Federation has access to most KDF-races through diplomacy.

    No, I have no interest in seeing my Bridge Officers leave my ship.

    If it's just about people able to play a particular race, they already offer most of them via the C-Store. If making an officer into a PC offers more game mechanics than simply letting you play a different race, then it is game affecting and should not be an MT.

    So, to reiterate, no.

    Paying for things like this is not an option to me. This sort of idea, and I think I recall seeing it mentioned as a future possibility somewhere, should be part of the game and funded via normal subscriptions. If there is to be a mega content patch released and charged for then I'd expect expansion levels of content which would be what we be on par with at least what we have available right now.

    I think this could be a lot of fun, if they aren't removed from your crew permanently. The possibilities are significant. It would also be very 'Trekkie'. How many captains EVER led every single away team? How many first officers did something cool on the ship while the captain was away?

    2-part missions, where you lead one away team and your second leads another. You play each part one after the other, and then rejoin for the final part (assuming there is one).

    This could also be applied to those ships where the saucer splits off. Send each one through a different warp into a different part of the mission, and as soon as you're done with part 1 (probably playing the 1st officer with the saucer) you go onto part 2 with your captain and the main ship.

    I'd certainly pay for this option, if they did it correctly.

    Me too. It's already my character, I shouldn't have to pay to play it.

    Also, I'm not sure how this would work in practice. Let's say my BO is a commander. Now what? Does he start the game as a commander, skipping the lower tiers?

    i think what dStahl said was that they MAY offer packs to get a Slot together with a new Race or somethin...

    never seen that the *promote BO to captain* thing would be a C-Store feature only, and honestly that would suck donkeyballz.

    But what i want to know, if that feature ever arrives, can we promote for example a Catian BO to captain without actually having purchased the Catian Race at the C-Store?

    That would be baaad. Cuz people allready payed for it and the C-Store would effectively destroy any further sales of species this way.

    Also i am not very excited about the idea that you can buy pre leveled chars on the C-Store.


    And finally, if you just SAVE the costume in the tailor screen you can LOAD it while creating a new char, just needs to be the same gender and Species. So you can allready do it on your own if you realy want to!


    So what is the actual use of this feature? Getting to Captain Level instantly for $.

    NO THX.

    Now if i can get a Federation GORN out of the Diplomacy System.... THAT would be something entirely else, because i can't buy the Species and nobody gets screwed.
    But then, what do the Klingons do who have no diplomacy? Then i also want a KDF Pak'led!

    yes , but as long as it was not a C-Store purchase!, if it was then no.
