Liberated Borg Alien idea.

Alright, so I was somewhat sad when I got my borg, it seemed to lack the feel of 300$ 'bonus'. So, I know asking for cryptic to make buyable races stronger would be wrong (no matter how badly I want my Joined Trill to be stronger and borg to be too) I thought about the borg...

Its a liberated borg human? Im pretty sure they assimilate other aliens as well.. Why not make a Liberated Borg Alien that you get with Life time?

Basically, it combines Alien and Borg, and unlocks even more customization!

My idea was, All the customization and skill selection of the borg and alien race all in one package. Allow the Liberated Borg Alien to pick its 4 skills from the borg/alien traits list, and let it customize its appearance from both lists as well (maybe include all appearances of "unlocked" races for a truly custom appearance? Such as tails, horns, etc.)

Though personally, I feel the borg is deserving of -5- skills, requiring it to have the borg nanites and allowing it to pick the other 4 as mentioned above.. To me thats the power of a borg. (and worth the 300$).

What do you guys think? And please no trolling...(i know how all you out there have a problem with purchasable things being even -equal- in power to free stuff... but honestly, i think the borg deserves to be a bit better than free.)

No, no. Too much work for a lifetime perk, but..... If they make the Liberated Borg Captain available ingame or in the c-store, i´m all for it.

To bad, thats what you have payed for, the Borg is a mere Bonus.

I say no, the development time for more content for the majority is more important at the moment than more content for selected few players who believe they are the "chosen ones" just because they spent 300$ on something.

The time it would take to create a Liberated Borg Alien is a mere speck considering all its components are already created, they merely would need to copy and paste the lists into one. How is any of that too much work? The works already been done, all they simply need to decide is "do we make it a new race, or just add to the old one".

I'm all for this, but I'll like to see a slight buff to assimilation ability you get.

Currently it's more or less worthless, tiny range, the movement down isn't noticable/doesn't matter and the hold isn't much either. atm I think pounce is even better.

Increasing the range to 10' and/or adding expose (inplace of hold even?) would make it worth while using.

I would like to see it being an expose attack, same for ALL varients of this ability so the two Borg BOs can be more effective as well. That said, I would much rather see this ability changed to a confuse power / expose.

Personally, I'd love to see a Lib Borg Alien, but, powers don't really need to change, the lib borg powers should be the same, plus the alien options. only 4 things total, though. No need to have 5.

Either a new race, or upgrades to the basic lib borg human.

In theory, this shouldn't really be too problematic, or should take terribly long to do.

I'd like to see liberated Borg ____ (insert race here) for all races. Why limit us? We're paying, we should be able to play a liberated Borg Vulcan or anything else we want.

I'm not a lifer, but I think this would be a cool option for lifers to have. Say, in the character creator, after picking a species, there was a checkbox under all the traits with "Liberated Borg" next to it. That would give the character the optional Borg traits and pieces and change the species name to "Liberated Borg Andorian" or "Liberated Borg Rigelian" or whatever.

I approve of the OP's message...

We paid for lifetime sub and the playable liberated borg perk. It was never stated that it would just be liberated borg humans and klingons.

When I paid for it, I had a whole crew of liberated borg in mind aboard the Prometheus-class U.S.S. Unimatrix Zero. That dream was shattered however. =(

I made the SAME request back when the liberated Borg cpt was first announced. It only seemed to make sense that they would have made it an "alien" since the Borg have assimilated millions of species.
