Cryptic, I purchased Chang's Bird of Prey and I'm having a blast (literally) with it. I popped a cloaked gal X in PVP with HY3. It was great!
But I must say I take issue with you selling individual special torpedoes for 50 CP each! I mean, when I'm playing with my Nebula, I need to purchase at least 10-20 homing torps if I want to engage the new Chang-o-Preys.
I hope the real, ermm, McCoys, don't actually cost 25 bucks.
I still think its safe to assume 800-1500(this is an approximate high end number and actually expect it to me more like 1000) each with maybe an option that you can spend 1500-2500 and get both of them, assuming they do a ship pack like that.

I look at it this way:
The TOS Connie is 800 points. Its the lower end of the scale and the least they would charge for a new ship.
I am figuring 2500 is too much per ship, unless they are trying to limit the numbers of them out there so thats where the 1000-1500 per ship comes in. I think 1500 per ship is extreme, especially if I can only use it at end game levels, something I really don't play at being an alt-aholic. That is why I am hoping it will be a cheaper end of those options, but to be honest, it will be what the C-store team says it 'should' be, which will be hopefully in the neighborhood of what the market can bear and not more, but who decides what the market can bear
I also have to ask is that is a currency converted total because 1000CP is about $12.50 US

I have to admit. If I were running marketing, I'd charge that and possibly more. Judging by the amount of people who bought gal-x's (myself included ) and how much Star Trek fans (myself included) love the iconic ships, there's going to be a good amount of revenue to be had.
Bad form? I would say so. Am I a latinum crazed Ferengi who cares nothing about the hearts and minds of his customers and only wants more profit? Most likely. Are there still going to be people who buy it so I'll have a nice bonus at the end of the year? Yes.

Well, it is quite an EVE'esque issue. If they want bigger profits, they need to take bigger risks. The risk here is that if they charge too much, Cryptic's image will be forever tainted as the most greedy MMO company around, and that alone will put off potential future subscribers.

I have to admit though, I could see the Chang's being listed at 2000 in lieu of the Galaxy X at some point. the others, not so much.
Actually even the tos connie was a special order type ship so its c-store price was higher same reasons GX is high as well.
Connie is 800 so the new ships , and all ships are skins should be lower than 800 , that not too bad , anything higher and season2 could be a thorn in crapstics side lol
If the new ones prove to be higher than 800 then they simply are taking you for a mug plain and simple.

Cryptic Studios, based out of Los Gatos, CA, has declared that they no longer are developer and maintainer of MMO's.
