The launcher right now is saying to go on the test server for a promotion this weekend.
Also there will be a special surprise tribble as a thank you for "Serious Testers"
I'm curious what they are looking for 'cause I wouldn't mind spending some time testing this weekend.
They're being intentionally vague about it so people don't log in for the required time just to get the tribble.
Oooh, if this wasn't a family-oriented forum, I could make some really... interesting... jokes about your statement, heh.
Or because they don't have an item period,, literally you don't get something " sorry went serious enough"
Which a serious tester can test vrious functions including clicking the login button for a couple hours straight, as testing a majority of times requires mundane tasks like making shure menu systems work every time.

On this very site is a forum labeled 'Information and Discussion'. And under that is one labeled 'Dev Tracker'.
A couple of people have hit the nail on the head. When I wrote that, I was being intentionally "Cryptic". Why?
We want you to log and test the changes to the new content, and have fun in the process. We don't want people to log in and idle for a few hours and then log off in order to earn a reward meant for those of you who are going to test the game.
So, the criteria will remain a secret, and those of you who log in to Tribble this weekend and test the new build, will earn the reward.
Well unfortunately I don't have a RA 5 ( I unlocked klink at Lt. 4, then deleted him, made a new one but hes Lt.7 or something), I'm Klingon, and testing their Klingon content will take about 30 min, As what I have already tested resulted in me 1 shotting everything when I was doing the mars shipyards quest chain from my fully purple BOP, and Fed side is barely bare able, i end u p logging from boredom after 30 min
There are like 5 missions all but 1 low level for Klingons, no ships except the carrier.
The only other thing that can be done is PVP against people , and I'm not even going to get into the advantage of the new ships w/ multiple high rank BO stations, vs normal.
Clarrification, not attitudic with you but at cryptic for putting a time min to test nonexistent klink content when I have non option for fed content due to lack of premades
Considering its a promotion, I figured they would say something about it here. But I guess real magic would be if they explained it properly where it was mentioned. Also that link still isn't an answer it's just an excuse.
looking to provide the "bare minimum" in order to get a toy are we ?
Really I'm looking to find out if they want 8 hours of testing, or I need a rear admiral to get the reward.
Considering the trust issues Cryptic has with a lot of the people on the forums here, I prefer to find out as much as I can about a promotion before taking part so I don't end up like one of the masses of cry babys on here complaining about how they were "lied" to because they didn't get what they expected.

My Spidy Sense is tingling. With out a written "time frame" by Cryptic, how do we know there is even a requirement? They could simply say "Sorry, your 18+ hours of game play on Tribble did not meet our requirement. Have a nice day!"
For those who say that this couldnt/wont happen, let me remind you, Cryptic has a history of TRIBBLE over its player base. Anyone remember SaleGate? What about the Preorder C-Store bonanza? Galaxy X referral?
I don't know to whom, but it would seem you would've lost 100 bars of GPL, DES_SNIPER.
Wonderful, I thought it might be something like that and they had a reasonable time frame in mind. I just wanted to be sure in case they were looking for 10 hours of play or something, I already have well more the an hour in, i don't want to play to much of the new stuff 'till it's live though.
I think an hour is a bit short if they are looking to keep people from gaming the system. But I guess that's why they made it a bit of a mystery.

.... but no reward if you didnt WORK hard enough in their eyes.
.
Behold the magic of the Dev Tracker:

Why does this SURPRISE anyone in anyway?!?!?

I will lay down 100 bars of Gold-Pressed Latinum that they dont even have a criteria in mind let alone a "reward".
