Plasma Beam Array Subsystem targeting graphical glitch

I believe I'm not the only one that has noticed a constant glitch with the Plasma Beam Array weapons when using subsystem targeting abilities, the beam doesn't fire at your target but instead the graphics have the beam firing and hitting your own ship! while this does not pose a issue gameplay wise it looks looks stupid and is generally frustrating.
